Our update first
I don't have GD. The receptionist rang yesterday with the results but I already knew as all my testing came up with normal range results.
L's eye is almost back to normal. Still having to give him ABs which isn't fun, but DH and I hold him down and manage to get most of it in. Anyone got any tips on how to successfully give liquid medication to toddlers?
Amber - happy birthday! Hope you are having a good day Mo - good news about Maddi. So she doesn't eat red meat? Have you tried spag bol sauce or little meat balls? Do they do beef nuggets like they do chicken and fish? These bubs are so fussy. Willow - I'm sure Boo will turn for you. Saw your other thread so hopefully there is something there you can do.
Last thing you need at the moment is for DS not to sleep. You really must be needing the rest about now. Kaz - the things kids say! Does Mia go to daycare? Hoping that this month is your month. Trish - the Yaris is surprisingly roomy, but even so I think three kids in the back will be a bit of a squeeze. You're not getting a hatchback are you?
Sorry to hear you're sick again. Amelia- as I packed away L's baby clothes I did an inventory so I know exactly what we have and how many to use for bubs. Most of it is blue tho...... I know I've got a disorder, I LOVE LISTS.
Saffi - Hooray for not having GD! I knew you wouldn't . I'm glad L's eye is much better. No tips on giving medicine, both my boys are weird and love taking medicine LOL! And no, I'm not getting the hatchback, there is NO way we'd fit anything in there! I have a Safe-N-Sound Compaq car seat for the bub (they're much narrower and smaller than normal car seats) so they will all fit in there...just...
Hi everyone....just a quick one....Charl is in a show tomoz so have been busy all day and getting ready for bed (lame!). Saffi My suggestion for the medicine is to do it in the high chair...they can't get away! Get a syringe and squirt it in!
I'll be back in a couple of days....before I go off to Singa's again anyway xoxo
Hi guys!
well what a rough week i have had. this time last friday night i was getting home from work and feeling rather off. i was real cold and shivering and couldnt get warm. Then o/n the diarrhea started. Sunday i was bed bound and the stomach pains were worse then contractions. 5pm sat i went to medical centre and waiting curled over for 2hrs to be told there is nothing that can be done i have gastro. Sunday night at 11pm i told dh i couldnt do it anymore and needed to go to hospital.
i was hooked up to an IV drip and given some pain releif as i was dehydrating even though i was trying hard to keep up my fluids.
I spent the next 4 days in hospital, turns out i had food poisioning from a bbq chicken.....dh ate it to but was fine and i never vomitted.... i only got home from hosp yesterday. The kids wernt allowed to visit me becuase it easnt at that stage known if i had gastro. The nurses had to wear gloves, gowns and masks any time they walked into the room.
anyway i am on the rd to recovery now. it really knocked me around and im still not up to the same engery level. the AB and IV drip has now caused thrush so hopeing its all over soon.....
Tyron is getting so naughty. he also has a show fettish! he is always pulling shoes out of the closests and walking around the house in them, mine, dh's, high heels anything he can get his hands on.
He has had his 18m needle which he didnt even budge from, just got the re-imburse thing from the government.
Celtic- congratulations on your pregnancy!
Amelia- how did your moving go?, hope you did all the deligating and none of the lifting!
Saffi- glad you dont have GD! doctors always told me my bubs seemed on the bigger side. Ty was only 7lb 10oz so not big at all just average.
Hi to everyone else and will try and catch up a bit more soon
Nickers - That is a very rough week for you!! Hope you get better sooner rather then later!! Moving went well.....We are going furniture shopping today/tomorrow cause we gotta buy a new computer desk and some bookcases for all my scrapbooking stuff and my obsession with books!! Lol. I didn't do any of the lifting but still had to do all the unpacking!! I think I would have prefered the lifting!! Lol.
Have a good day everyone!! We are going to go pick up our dog from my brothers. He offered to have him when we moved to Mackay but now we are back I asked if we could have him back and he said yes!! He is a long haired dash hound with a bark like a german shepherd!! A very good guard dog he is!!
Trish & Mo - we are going to check out the baby market today, so we might see you there! I know what you look like Mo, so I wont miss you!
Nick - Gosh you sound like you have had a really rough week. Bet it was hard to be without seeing the boys for 4 days. I bet they are really glad to have you home, as would you would be to be home. Hope you pick up and get back to your normal self soon x
Amelia - How exciting to be getting your dog back, I am sure that he will be happy to be home with you all.
Julia - Good luck with the show today and pop in and say hi before you head back to Singapore again! I know you will probably be busy getting organised.
Saffi - Glad to hear you dont have gd, now you can just concentrate on growing that baby! How exciting!
to everyone else. We are having a bit of a lazy morning before we get dressed and go out and do something for the day. We have decided to stay in tonight, and not have anyone over. We have had one of those weeks, so some family time is just what we need!
Nickers - 4 days in hospital! That must have been some bad chook! I think in NSW they have a register for food poisoning and that place that you got it can go on this register and get investigated etc. Anyway, glad that you are feeling much better now. Julia - good luck for the show. Amelia - we'll need to do some furniture shopping when we move into our new house too. DH wants a new lounge, dining table, computer desk and bed. Don't think the budget will stretch that far. He may just have to settle for a computer desk at the moment.
How long does it take from getting the 18month vax to getting the money from the government? L had his done about a month ago so maybe they are just getting to it now. You don't have to complete any forms do you?
L is down for his nap so having a break and getting some housework done before we go off and do the shopping etc this afternoon.
I still haven't got any money back for Maddi & she had hers done around 2 months ago.
Maybe i should look into it.
Saffi M use to eat red meat, then a few months ago she decided to stop eating it, We have tried so many different ways.
Yay for not having GD, i knew you'd be fine.
Nic you must of felt terrible, so glad your feeling better now.
Kaz i thought the market was for tomorrow only, hope you find some bargins.
Amelia still not 100% sure if i can make it or not, but as i said to Amber if i can't make the meet up i'll fly up one 1 weekend. Either way i'm coming up before the end of the year
Julia gl to to Charlie at the show. How long is the flight to Singapore?
Chels got done 2 weeks ago and we got ours yesterday Saffi... Oh and I cant help you with the AB thing cuase for some strange reason both my kids seem to love medicine.. haha... As soon as I say "come have your medicine" They both run over to me like a shot so I guess Im lucky... hahahaha. Julia's idea about the highchair was good though...
Well we came home with nothing cause we couldn't agree on anything besides the one we saw at Ikea but they have none left in stock at the moment. That would be right.
Nerida - I haven't got that payment yet either!! Maybe time to call centrelink I think. I just hate waiting on the phone tho...Lol!!
Mo - I realised earlier that the market is tomorrow, will try and get there but we have a birthday party in the morning. We have ended up having a day at home, sleeping and playing. Noice.
As for the immunisation payment, we got it relatively quickly after Tay had her needles. But for those of you that have an older child, they are now not giving it to you in one lump sum. With Mia we got $230 or something, now its $120ish and the rest when they turn 4 I think the lady said.
I know they rely on the medical clinics to update the register, and sometimes they can be slack.
Just a quick hello to all, hope everyone is well, sorry for non personals have a cranky monkey being distracted by some telly at the moment hopefully goes back to bed soon has been fantastic till tonight. Looks like more teeth, here I thought it was over for now!! Stupid me
Mo - It was great to see you guys again too! And thanks again to you and Phil for lugging everything around for me . Kodi has grown so much since I last saw her and is soooo gorgeous . Maddi is one tall young lady LOL! Unfortunately K slept on the car ride home and was bright as a button as soon as we got out of the car. I know we'll pay for that later today...
Hi to everyone else, I'll BBL for more personals. Got a busy afternoon ahead!
