Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas with your precious bubs and families xxx

Off to Inverloch tomorrow evening, so wishing everyone a great Chrissy. Will be back some time just before New Year
-
Christmas Celebrations start tonight for us!! off to the inlaws.
Merry Christmas to everyone! Enjoy your bubba's first Christmas!
-
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!
DD1 is sooooooooo excited!
-
Merry Christmas everyone!!
We were away in Sydney for a bit so haven't been posting and will be away again soon for christmas!
Hope everyone has an awesome day!!!!
-
Ash is sooo excited too. Really understands this year. Went to sleep without a peep. After tomor we won't be able to use the 'santa watching you' threat when she is naughty! The cubby was easy to put together thankfully! Even tho its cold and wet out there!
Everyone going away enjoy your time and drive carefully.
Meg- your poor sister, must be hard seeing her unwell. my sister has ptsd and often has bad times, ends up in hospital so I know its hard when you feel helpless to do much but be there.
-
James is still up, in his room crying and calling out. *sigh* he always reverts to this behaviour after being sick. Scared of noises etc I told him that I was about to go and call Santa. Then he started saying sorry. I dunno - every time he improves, he gets sick and goes back to this silliness.
OK enough of a whinge I am tired. Have a great Chrissy all. I am sure that there will be a lot of over excited kiddies tomorrow
-

Olive- I know just makes xmas that extra exciting, its all about them now, I live my excitment thru her!
I know where are our babies gone?! First birthdays will be coming up soon enough. I just discovered Emily loves straw cups, didn't even think about it but she found Ash's and started drinking straight off, loves water.
Meg- has J settled a bit now? How is your time away going?
Holly- forgot to answer yr question while back, we have been engaged for ages so nothing new, lol, one day we may eventually get married.
10 days til I'm back at work! :o
-
scary shell :o work that is!!
M loves straw cups too, stole S's one day and started drinking straight away, i was surprised!
-
Just popping in to say Hi... I'm peeved tonight!!! Just feel like I do all the thinking in our house! Sory for the vent but why are men just so dumb sometimes!!! ARHHHGGG.. Dh has done nothing major it's just all the small ****ty things he does that I get annoyed at..
-
hun i whinge allll the time that its me who has to think for everyone! poos me off too!
-
Thanks Hun!! Glad i'm not the only one!!!
-
Vent away! If DH spends one more minute on his laptop I am going to throw it out the window...and if he asks me once more what A needs/wants etc like I have an instruction manual I am going to hit him over the head with something...ahhhh...that does feel better :)
-
Pinny, so know what you mean, sometimes just all those small things add up til you get to a point where you want to knock them out!
-
 ellie and shell!
DD1 is sick :( threw up all over the lounge, lucky its leather and the floor  was yuk
DD2 is whinging big time today
were ment to be going out tonight, DH is but now im not!
DD2 is sleeping better, only woken once the past two nights, next phase of night weaning is no feeds tonight :o will see how that goes.
better do the whinger is whinging!! mum mum mum mum mum you get the picture
-
On no about the vomit olive....see how you go with the over night weaning! If she's sick u may need to keep the fluids up. I am doing it tonight too.. We have been following the Dr Jay Gordan stuff too, actually been working quite well....see how we go... Not getting my hopes up...
Elli and Shell....glad I'm not the only one who has these thoughts....
What is everyone doing for News Years? So hard when you have young ones?
-
pinny its S thats sick not M!! were doing jay gordan too, well my modified version!!
no plans for NYE but were ment to be going out NYD thought that will depend on the sickness here!
-
Silly me..... sorry I'm not very with it atm, Poor Sophie!!!
I've just posted in your other thread....
I am too modifying the Jay Gordan stuff but in theory I like his approach, even though we are not over 12months and not cosleeping, it still seems to be going well.
Hope Sophie is feeling better soon.
-
I'm gonig around a GF's place on NYE at about 3pm - that's my excitment LOL!
Girls I hear you with DH's - mine is not sleeping so he's been sleeping in til 12 and when I ask to have a few hours off in the afternoon (he's on holidays) he whinges and complains, like I'm asking him to solve all of the worlds problems.
:grouphug:
-
malyna thats more excitment than i having!!
pinny how did you go last night??
i wasnt ment ot feed M last night but i forgot what to do last night  so i fed the drastically reduced feed, she wasnt happy about that last night and cracked it when i put her back 15 mins a screaming later and she gave up :( i was right beside her but she was very angry with me :( she woke 40 mins later and screamed again for 5 mins, i stayed with her again, then slept til 6am, was a long night not much sleep as i was also up to S
-
Wow Olive - I admire you dropping the night feeds. Alex has been sleeping with me for 2mths and I'm exhausted. MIL said that I am probably emjoying it too much to give it up but to be honest I don't know how to get him out of it - in the old cycle of too exhausted to try, plus DH picks Alex up at the littlest sound, which drives me insane. I've had alex 24/7 since the 22nd November (the last time I got out on my own)...
-
malyna  google jay gordan, pinny and i are following the night weaning, though modified to suit us as were not co-sleeping or feeding to sleep
-
My night went ok, but not as well as I hoped.
He woke at 10.30pm gave him a feed back to bed awake and slept fine till 1am, woke tried resettling without feed, became really angry fighting me and screaming! pulling at my top through the cot bars. Gave in:doh: and fed a quick feed one side, put back to bed and he went back to sleep until 6.30 am, no worries with settling himself once he has had a feed but really wanted to boobie milk. will try again tonight not to feed, between 11 and 6am what hours are you aiming for Olive?
Malyna- Hope you have a good time NYE, still not sure what we are doing yet. It is so hard I don't get any time to myself either unless going to the supermarket for half hour counts and that only rarely happens without DD.. I understand how you feel, too exhausted to change things... L started doing 5 hour blocks of sleep so I feel human again, and that's when I felt like I had the energy to try something... also if try to get out in the sunshine, it's amazing what effect a bit of fresh air can has,
-
pinny were up to day 4/5 i did the first 3 of reduced feeds, tonight will be cuddles and no feeds :o
is that what you did??
i also do all this between 11 and 6 as well
-
Last night was night 4 for me with no feeds, just cuddles too, but I gave in...:shakehead:
Will try harder tonight.
Sounds like we are doing the same thing.
-
we were up at similar times too :o freaky!!
-
hey girls, think I need to google Jay Gordan too. DS sleep over Christmas has been absolute rubbish!! He is feeding up to 6 times in the 12 hour overnight period. Last night he actually went from about 8pm to 1am without waking which was a bit of a record during the past week. Of course I wasn't sleeping that entire time  Have been so tired I feel like I haven't been able to enjoy his first Christmas properly :( And I have had a sore throat since the 23rd. Grrrr!! Ok, enough whinging from me!!
Olive - Hope S is feeling better.
Malyna - is your NYE baby free?? You really need some time out!
Pinny - Hope you have a better night tonight! I give in too - start with cuddles but then feed because it's taking too long and I want to go back to bed!
-
kaz- no it will be with baby...i will google gordan.
-
Kaz- Give Jay Gordan a go, maybe we can start a support group, Good Luck, I hope you get some more sleep
-
Hi all, just a quick hello.
Hope you all had a great christmas and enjoy new years eve/day. Don't know if I can be bothered going out tomorrow night - if anything we will just be going to dp's cousin's place where they have a party every year.
L loves his walkerthat he got for christmas! You should see the boy run - his little legs going as fast as they can, it's sooo cute! And he follows us everywhere! :) He loves playing hide and seek - dp will hide behind some furniture and L scoots around in his walker trying to find him and just laughs hysterically when he finds dp
Well gtg, it's past 8:30pm and L is still awake and as rowdy as ever! xox
-
Hi all! Back from Adelaide safe and sound! Will read later and update but Miss J is fully crawling now and can even go up a step :omg: She has started pulling herself up to standing as well.
-
Holly - The walker sounds like great fun.
Nai - WOW!! Go Miss J.
Its fabulous to hear how each of our babies have developed. They are all doing different things, at different times. It makes me realise just how general all the baby advice is and that kids will do whatever it is they are going to do whenever they are going to do it.
Alex has started sounding like jabba the hutt from star wars, I'm expecting him to say "jabba wookie" any second!
HAPPY NEW YEAR
-
its the last day we can say our babies where born this year as of tomorrow it was last year :o
nai does your house smell better  woot on the crawling!
holly we dont have any plans either!!!
malyna its so true, they do things when they are ready!!
AFM didnt really do the no feeding last night as M slept from 7pm til 4am and i couldnt feed her after going 9 hours, so i gave her a quick feed but it took me an hpur to get her back to sleep, so still baby steps but i think were getting there!
worst thing was while i was standing in her room i felt a trickle down my leg :o AF arrived, lucky it didnt go on the floor, i grabbed a prefold and used it as a pad! talk about timing
-
*wanders in, turns around and wanders back out again*
-
just put whingy-woo down, hoping she may sleep as shes been ooooohhhh so whingy today, not sure if its the heat or teeth, but boy its been a long sticky hot day!!
i made some fruit and jelly for the girls today, mango with apple and blackcurrant juice (the baby stuff) S didnt like  she did last year, but M loved it.
M totally loves her straw cup, shes drunk so much water today and been on the boob constantly :o the most shes ever fed!
-
I've just been trying to get on top of the washing and unpack all our bags and new toys!! Arrrgh - I need a bigger house to put all the cr@p in! Well, if you haven't heard already - I forgot to put the dishwasher on before we left for holidays so the dirty dishes were baking in there for over a week and OMG the stench was hideous!! Fortunately the kitchen has stopped smelling but the dishwasher still isn't great. I will do a few more goes with vinegar and bi-carb but it is foul
-
Hi girls, I should pop in and let you know that I am back as well. We came backa bit earlier as it was raining and to be honest I was over it. I love seeing my family but now we have a family I just felt like I had to watch so closely what DD was doing because and couldnt really relax.
DP is at work, DD is in bed and I am at home!!!
We had some food in the fridge and rubbish in the bin that made our kitchen stink!!! I think the smell is gone now or maybe my nose is adjusting! :dunno: DD is the same on her movement. ITs just crazy and tiring.
Will BBL tonight for some personals and to catch up on previous pages,
-
 yuk nai!! try doing a clean cycle with citric acid in the powder part then vinegar for rinse, thats how i clwan mine!
and i hear you on the extra toys
