So over this bloody teething!! I think I fed DD at least 6 times last night and then she was up at 5!! Went to the shops, and she fell asleep on my shoulder so now she's snoozing but will prob wake up hungry soon bc she didn't get a feed before she fell asleep.

    Beautiful poem Tracey.

Sorry we were going to go to Adelaide - drove halfway then had to turn around, because I've got a cold and the boys are sneezing - and I didn't want to get stuck with a sick baby in the car (not when home is 1500km away).

Kaz - Alex went through a similar phase a few weeks ago. A friend has a baby who didn't sleep for 2 years - she'd spend 45 minutes settling bubs for a 2hr sleep. You need to look after yourself. Get DP to tend to bubs for a night/day - although it can be frustrating to spend your spare time sleeping.

I forgot to mention that I have a mattress on the floor in Alex's room, and when he wakes I talk to him, try and settle him that way - sometimes it work, others I have to put him on the BB, but it's the only way I can settle him. I found that if I get alex early before he wakes up completely (even the short distance between the bedrooms was too much) then he resettles pretty quickly... otherwise it takes me a long time to settle him.

Someone told me that if you ring up a childcare centre the day before, you can sometimes, you can find a temp place for bubs - maybe consider that, so you can have some time to yourself.

Bubs wellbeing is important, but mum's mental health is also important - maybe more important because if mum isn't functioning then how can she look after bubs?

    Hi girls,

Happy birthday to all the bubbas - Posy, Nate, Heidi, Anika, Jimmy & Emily!!

Thanks for Leon's birthday wishes and my get well wishes!

The last few days have been a real blur. Went to hospital on Wednesday as something happened to my back and I was in excruciating pain and couldn't move. To top things off, I had a bad reaction to the medication I was given so felt really nauseas and faint - couldn't even talk or open my eyes. The pain in my back subsided and I was discharged with a referral to a physio. I was away from L for over 12 hours My bbs were almost exploding by the time I got home! I then had a painful blocked duct for a day or two and had to persist with L to drain it. I had hardly any time to prepare for L's party yesterday and did the shopping the night before and cleaning in the morning! It was so unorganised and hectic. Too many people (even though about 20 didn't come), and my back was sore, plus I didn't get enough quality photos

Will catch up properly in the next day or so. Sooo tired!! And don't know where to keep the masses of toys he received!! xox
