Meg - good on you for making the decision about sleep school. Keep us updated. Which one have you signed on for?? A few of the mums in my mothers group have been to sleep schools/seen sleep consultants... with mixed responses...
Nai, so impressed with your gym efforts
Ali, I cried more than DD did with the vax as well. How has Ash been this arvo? Hope you have an ok night.
Kaz - I know what you mean about the flabby tummy, I had a tighter top on today and was feeling quite self conscious! I need to exercise more...
AJP that's the only dummy I've found that DD will take! The cheapest one from the supermarket, how funny, she didn't want the fancy orthodontic ones! Ah well!
Holly - so sorry about your new skin problems. You sound like you're having a rough trot, poor thing. I don't know much about the Moogoo stuff sorry! As I said above the Happy Baby dummy is the one that DD will take. Also she takes the Medela bottles, just standard teat, I bought them from Target.
Det - so impressed with your Cairns jaunt. Sounds like a lovely surprise for your nan! See you Wednesday xx
Shell - how has E been recently?? Sorry for your tough day!
Tarkine - GL with the hotel idea
AFM: Isabel seems to be settling a bit better - touch wood. We've persisted with the bath-boob-bed routine and she seems to be getting it, we've had her asleep by 8pm every night for about a week. I've stopped trying to do the rollover feed and just get to bed whenever I can and she's been waking around 11pm-12.30am, I feed and change her nappy to wake her up a bit and feed a bit more to try and get a bigger sleep out of her. Seems to work as she goes back to sleep and gets thru another 4 or so hours.
The early morning is a bit hit and miss, sometimes she'll go another 3hrs after the 3am feed, sometimes its only an hour and a half or thereabouts. Not sure what to do - just keep persisting I guess.
Went to a Hen's party on Sat, left home at 2pm and got back at 11.30pm. DD was fantastic for Grandma and Grandpa (DH was at the Buck's) - went to sleep after a bottle at about 8pm and didn't stir til about 12.45am. Woo! I think Grandma was a bit disappointed she didn't get to cuddle her DGD (dear grand daughter ) all night!
Dummy question - we finally got DD to take a dummy and I'm worried we're overusing it already. Should I try and settle using other methods before going dummy? Or if dummy works first time, is it ok to just chuck that in??
