Morning girls,

Hope some of us got some decent sleep last night.

Beata- Adrian moves his head from side to side while he sleeps so not an issue, but for your boy, try lying him on alternate sides each sleep and that should even his neck muscles out. Adrian has such a strong neck and he lifts his head and looks around all the time, its a pain when feeding though because he tries to pull away sometimes and he is so strong i feel like im going to break his little neck to get him back on.

As for all the other babies, im not an expert as ive only been doing this for 2 weeks LOL, but i found that the thing that made it easier was to run through the top 5 whenever Adrian cried.
Hungry?
Nappy?
Pain? (wind/nappy rash)
Too hot?
Too cold?

Once all those bases were covered, if he was still crying it was normally a case of wrapping him nice and tight, giving him some time on mine or DH's chest until he fell asleep and carefully transferring him to his cot. Eliminating those five possibilities made me feel like i was doing something active and not just hopelessly watching him cry.

I also found in the early days when his crying got me on edge to remind myself that it was just that, crying. He couldnt hurt himself by crying, the worst that would happen is he could exhaust himself and fall asleep, so if i was getting really stressed and emotional, i would leave him somewhere safe, like his cot, then go and have a cold drink or something and relax, then when i came back, if i was relaxed and not tense, he would relax too and we could figure out what he wanted.

I dont want to sound like a know-it-all since im no expert, but it helps me and DH and it might help some of you too.

AFM I had a poo fountain experience last night!! FInished feeding Adrian and heard the unmistakable noise of a full nappy and so went to change him. Had the old nappy off and was reaching for the new one when he decided he wasn't quite done and let loose a fountain of poo!!! Went all over the change table and a little on the carpet but thankfully it missed me!!! Now that was an experience!! Oh and then he did another little wee!! I swear he saves it up and waits till nappy time LOL

Anyways, hope all the settling/feeding/burping/spewing/sleeping issues get sorted out for you all and you have some nice calm cuddles.

Big hugs to everyone
