He is a tall boy Pandora, although when you said your and DH's heights it probably isn't surprising. But I agree its funny to have a small child first and then have the complete opposite.
Tom is so cut TMTM, the videos you put on FB are just gorgeous.
I haven't had Jack weighed for nearly 4 months, so am hanging out for the 7th of May to see where he is at. He still isn't overally tall, O pants are too long and a bit big around the waist still.
So is everyone organised for the big 1st birthday. Oscar and Lewis are getting so excited they both thought it was this weekend.
Our babies are turning 1!!! Has anyone got a list of when the birthdays are? I feel awful because I have had lots of birthday wishes for Tom from you all, but I've forgotten when everyone else's are.
Megs, Tom is having a "party" on Saturday but it's more just an excuse to get together with family and friends.
Tom goes in tomorrow to have his twelve month MCHN appt... and I'm not going with him! Dh is going to take him, as I have to work.
Who else is still breastfeeding? How is it going? Tom is still having between six and eight feeds a day when I'm not working, around four or five on the days I'm at work. I'm not bothering to pump during the day any more. He drinks a bottle of cow's milk at daycare during the day three days a week but he's more interested in proper food.
They've got hand foot and mouth at the daycare centre, so we're having to keep an eye out for that.
TMTM, Jack's Birthday is on the 1st of May, we are having his party on the Sunday. It is just family but that soon adds up to about 20 odd people.
Jack is no longer breastfed, he weaned himself completly this week. He had started biting me all the time and just wasn't interested. He is drinking cows milk from a cup and has a lot of diary. I was a bit sad as he may be my last baby, but when he was biting I was quite happy to give it up.
I have had gastro this week, which was all I needed, so far no one else has it so maybe it was food poisoning. I'm hoping Tom doesn't get hand, foot and mouth Oscar had that when he was about 17 months old and it is really painful.
Good luck at MCHN, and I hope all goes well tomorrow for the party, you should have nice weather which will be good
So, it's ok to have cows milk as the main drink now? Obie (yes like obi wan - blame dh) is still having 2 bf and 2 bottles of formula which I'd love to stop buying.....
We're having a smallish party like you megs, on the Sunday following his bday
This time last year I was sitting around waiting for DS to make an appearance, and, TBH I was pretty convinved I was going to wind up getting induced again.
Lucky for me that didnt turn out to be the case.
3 sleeps to go til my 'little' boy turns 1! I cant believe it. Honestly it feels like yesterday that I was pg with DS1 and hes 4.5 now!
We have family coming for cake on Thursday night, becuase we have Thursday night family night anyway so just moving it to our house, and an afternoon tea on Sunday. I cant wait!
Hasn't it gone quickly Pandora, Jack still doesn't seem one to me, because my older boys were both well and truely walking by this age that seemed normal. jack isn't walking, and I have been given a referral for him to see an orthapedic surgeon, MCH is bit concerned with his hips still. Am so crossing my fingers that it is nothing.
We had Jack's party last weekend, was a lovely Sunday, just family, had great weather and everyone had a nice afternoon. I was getting myself quite stressed with all the different family dynamics buy they all behaved (well minus my SIL and BIL being over 2 hours late, apparaently hand trimming the lawn edges is more important than your nephews first birthday).
Saw MCHN for the first time in months on Friday, Jack weighs 9.7gms and is 75cms long, so is basically the same as Oscar was, Lewis is my odd one out the gently giant that he is.
Hope you have a great day on Thursday I'm sure your eldest will have a ball helping to open all the presents, and of course give them a test to make sure they work I know mine did.
Oh and on the cows milk, all three of my boys have self weaned around 12 months, nevery had formula and went straight onto cows milk, MCHN wasn't concerned as their diet's were/are good. Eat meat, diary, vegies fruit etc. I guess if you had fussy eater you mightn' as they may not be getting all the nutrients they need
I would love to towards the end of this year but at this stage DH is a firm no. I don't see the big deal with 4 kids but he thinks it will strech him too far.
Are you thinking about it Sarah?? With my first son I was already 5 months pregnant at his 1st birthday. Scary when I look back now.
