Me too! Last night I tried and it wouldn't let me in
Jen: I had an episotomy with both boys and nearly had one with Tess but she came too quickly. So the tear I had was only 5 stitches long. I have a friend who had a tear with her first and not on her 2nd or 3rd so I guess it depends on the labour you have? My OB also was stretching the perineum during the pushing stage to help avoid too much tearing or an episotomy, seems to have helped. There is a Mw theory that a tear heals better and an OB(depends on OB) theory that the epis heals better. I tend to agree with the MW after having experienced both.
Hi Lou
Thanks Bub4me..going to have a look at that happiest baby in the block. Know matter how many kids I have had I can always do with extra help in settling as they are such indvidual little creatures. I have a pretty good routine so far with Tess that seems to work at bed time..I do a bath, breast and bed around 6:30-7pm and it seems to be ok for now. I also use a different swaddle at night, one that is a bit tighter and she can't escape![]()
Tess also likes to suck her fingers or thumb and I am still deciding on wether to let her go for it at night to see if she settles/sleeps for longer. She also sleeps during the day in the surrender position. Although she is doing pretty good stretches at the moment without getting free at night...we had an 11pm to 7am the other night
Be back later with more..little Miss has just woken and is starving!
Heather
