Georgie - for reaching your goal weight... well done!
csab - no luck with the bag yet, still haven't started and still got SOOO much to do.
DP has given the broker until today and then i don't know what will happen, so much stress for so little, they came back asking for MORE things yesterday, DP is ready to smash the guy in the face i am so over it and don't need the stress.
Poor V, so many teeth and they must all hurt so much, Ava is still sooking so that #6 tooth is nearly through i think and the point of #5 cut the other day.
Yeah hospital on time is a good start i think... lol am taking bets from people as to what day they think i will go, anyone in?
So far:
I'm 32wk TODAY, Bubs is measuring exact for dates, Ava was born at 38.5wks (very quick delivery), Hmm anything else you need to know to guess?
Well i best be off, needles today going to put A down for a nap, she has been a bit sooky as i mentioned so those teeth are STILL moving.
She's taken a couple of steps on her own 1-2 but still prefers to get down n crawl
She is copying me kiss he on the neck and go MWAH so she does it now.. it's the cutest thing ever, you say KISS and she takes her dummy our for a kiss.
You say clap and she claps etc... one smart little cookie i have here i think, too smart for her own good... lol
Things are looking up here. DH's trial is still going well although we may not know until AFTER christmas if he has a PPT contract. Grrrrr. Meanwhile I will enjoy the casual payrates!
Miss Bethany has taken those first steps....I can't believe she did it on my birthday too! She takes about 8 steps on her own, and of course prefers crawling cause it is faster!!
The weather here is bizzare today, raining one minute sunny the next, and we have swimming....I wish it would sort out so I could organise!! Although it is even more bizzare that is it raining and not humid here, it is mid November we should be feeling the Wet season by now but hey I am not complaining!!!
Ummmm me thinks thats all. Have a good one mums and bubs talk soon!!
Was gunna post big and long and personal, but Z just gone down for his sleep, and other stuff beckons. We are going camping this weekend with some friends so sorting out the food side of things. I am a bit tentative at this age with mr Z cos he is not walking - but will pack the play pen to help restrict how many leaves he eats
Only 5 more weeks of school left, and then I will have all of them home for the holidays. Z will still be in 2 days care, but they are closed from Christmas until 11/01 anyway.
We are making the dash to Ballarat/Melb over Christmas, so if we have spare time ( I will try hard to make some this year!) belfie - bout time we had that drink I think! No promises though, with all that is going on with my stepmum and it is my Dad's 60th as well - we will prob be stuck in Ballarat anyways. But I do wanna take the kids to the Melb Zoo - as long as it is not 40 degrees.
I have done all my christmas shopping - YAY - and have asked for Wii Fit Plus, Pinks Funhouse DVD, a new blender for Christmas - see how much DH remembers
Z has been teething this week (so his nappies tell me!!! ewwww) - but is nto too bad. Riley has been reviewed by an audiologist again and the fluid levels have risen again so he will prob need grommets. Luckily I have got him in at the end of Jan before schools starts - but not seeing the ENT again until mid Jan - made the surgery appt in case that is the way he wants to go to avoid another delay. He is old enough now that he wont "grow" out of it if yo uknow what I mean.
See, I dont have time for paid employment! But it is nice for that mental break if nothing else - oh, and to get my nails done every 3 weeks again is a luxury I love - work pays for that too
Gotta go - hi to everyone, will try and drop through again soon
Georgi - Yay on reaching your goal weight. And fingers crossed you are not PG.
csab - How's V doing now? I hope she's getting over her flu.
belfie - Oh i didn't know your DH had those balance tests. I am STILL feeling yuck after doing them. I feel like I am moving a lot when I am actually still. I think they stirred something up. Now I wish I hadn't done them. And there isn't much I can do to control the attacks. I am on a very strict low salt diet now and taking some medication. Saying that I really HATE my current ENT so I made an appointment to see a new one next week who was recommended by the Meniere's Support Group. So fingers crossed he's better. He's out your way actually. My DH's back is a bit better after two physio sessions. How's your DH's back? oh and good news that X has the all clear from the ENT.
Avasmum - Yeah I'm not enjoying the heat either. It makes me feel worse. I don't really get out still anyway so I've just been hiding out at home with the air con on. And I reckon M's grumpiness was from the hot weather. Like mother like daughter. She seems to be less grumpy now that it's a bit cooler. Sorry to hear about Ava's allergy/s. That allergy testing doesn't sound like fun at all, especially if you have to do it with a newborn in tow. Could you maybe get Mark to take a day off work to take Ava for the tests? As for guessing when baby #2 will come - when are you due again?
amy - Yay Bethany on your first steps. And I hope your DH gets the job! I still don't know if my DH might lose his job next year.
Sami - Hello. Good to see you around still. Enjoy your weekend away.
AFM I am still suffering a bit after those stupid balance tests. Ever since I did them I feel like I am moving when I'm not, nearly all the time. I am having trouble sleeping because of it too. (It's like when you get off a boat and can't stop rocking). I got my results though and I have 40% damage on my left side, which is quite a lot actually. It means my right side must have taken over a lot for me to still be upright and be able to walk, etc. It's quite sad knowing I am losing my balance and hearing slowly. I just hope that I never ever develop this disease in my right ear otherwise I will be completely deaf and unbalanced. Apparently there is a 50% chance I will one day develop it in my right side. So fingers crossed they find a cure SOON!
M is doing well. She is cruising the furniture more and more. OH and she suddenly started walking with her walker again. She LOVES it. But she is still driving me nutty with the fact that once she's up she can't get back down without help. So most of the time she's crying for me to come help her back down.
Took A for her needles today and also got the skin ***** tests done, she had a reaction to 1 of the things so have to wait 1-2wks for the results as to what product.
THEN we get a free appt to see an allergist, she will have testing done over about 4hrs at the Royal Childrens, we prob wont get in until Jan/Feb so chances are #2 will be here by then... hmm should be fun!
I'm not sure Mark could handle taking her in, she SCREAMED the house down for the ***** test today and depending on the foods etc they could be doing multiple tests and he just wouldn't handle it at all... see how we go.
So no new foods for poor A until after the allergist appt!
Oh my due date is 8th Jan so i'm 32wks today, Ava was born at 38.5wks, i am measuring exact for dates and when ava was born she was 6lb 11oz...
Any guesses?
Sorry got to run and play with sooky, DP's not home yet... she's not enjoying those needle marks or the itchy back!
Hehe my cousin thinks x-mas eve or x-mas day.. will pop you down for then... lol
Guess we just have to wait and see when the appt is etc and work it out from there...
I managed to make it out on Saturday to my best friends baby shower. So happy that I was well enough to go. We had to guess her birth date too. So I chose 3rd December, when her due date is 27th November. The closest person gets a prize.
Hope you win something Moi.... am still taking guesses for me... lol
Well we are going to look at a house tonight on 4acres, DP has given up on this finance guy so we are thinking we might go with another finance company and buy an already established house, then sell our block.
I really liked the idea of building a new house and decking things out our way but will see what happens, i am so over it and just hope we can figure it out.
The house we are looking at is on 4acres, has a creek, 3br with the master upstairs on it's own with a balcony and wir and ensuite.
Kitchen and meals area (color scheme is quite interesting ), lounge, family/rumpus room with wood fire.
Verandah 3/4 around the house... it looks nice, different color in every room but as DP is a tradie we can paint without an issue.
Don't want to get my hopes up thought... lol
Well Ava has turned into ADVENTURE GIRL, she decided her walker/bike is GREAT for riding standing up when daddy pushes her, then when he stopped she figured it works like a skateboard, would keep one leg up and push with the other then stand! she is so going to be the death of me.
She's loving the pool, we went to our cousins last night and she chased their 5yr old non stop all night, on her bike and crawling, they have a little plastic slide and she went down it all by herself using her feet to control her speed, she also managed to grip and climb 3/4 of the way back up it.
She was BLACK so gave her a quick shower and didn't leave til like 9:30 and she was still awake... then she slept til 7:15... does this child not know the meaning of SLEEP IN!
Am hoping to hear about A's allergy results soon hope we can get it all sorted soon, got me worried now!
Sorry bout my me post, not much in here since last post.. hope everyone is well... i'm all good, getting fatter and hating the heat but otherwise not too tired yet.. not sure how i'm doing it!
Have finally got V done for a sleep, but will soon need to get her up for the school pickup. V is still all stuffed up with a runny nose, but happy just the same. Really pleased with my little princess she ate some sausage the other day. It has been a battle trying to get her to eat meat.
She seems abit heavier too, but I guess I will know in the next few weeks exactly how much she has gained. I did get her weighed the other day, in her clothes and she weighed 6.2kg, so I think she may have made it over 6kg in her bare weight, which is a woohoo in itself.
Have my DS's short film awards tonight, so fingers crossed he wins, especially the scholarship. Apparently a few members from the tv industry watching the event so with any luck a few connections can be made too.
Anyway, will let you all know how the night goes. chat soon hugs xoxo
I hope everyone is well and so are your little ones.
Kuraiza - Nice to see you back hun. lots of b'day wishes for your little bubba too. hugs
The ladies of the house (Bethany and I) are battling colds.... and not with good grace either. Andrew is VERY grateful he is doing long days with Best and Less (did I mention that he is doing a trial with them, setting up and new store and the opening, after xmas they will offer permanate contracts.) so I think I will go back to blowing my nose and sniffing.
Avasmum - A sounds like she's getting up to lots. GL with the house inspection tonight.
kuraiza - Nice to see you. Just to be confusing I've changed my name again - from Tanya to Moi. Happy 1st Birthday to Jude!
csab - Good to hear V is doing well. And it sure sounds like she's reached the 6kg mark. My DH is now impatiently waiting for M to reach 8kgs cos he wants to turn her car seat around finally. I refuse to let him turn it till she reaches 8kgs because that's the recommendation. He keeps asking if she's 8kgs yet but I have nothing to weigh her with and at the rate she puts on weight I highly doubt she'd be there yet. GL to your DS with the film comp. I hope he wins something.
amy - Hope you and Bethany are feeling better soon.
I'm doing a bit better at the moment. I have now made it to 3 weeks without a vertigo attack. Fingers crossed it lasts. And at the moment I don't feel like I'm swaying as much as I was last week so hopefully that is settling down too. I really hope I am on the mend. I'm so worried that I won't be able to have another baby though. The pregnancy really stirred up the disease and I wonder if I could go through that again. But I so want a second child some day. Luckily I didn't want another one so soon anyway, so I do have time to see if I can get well again and to talk it through with doctors. But I still find myself worrying that I won't be able to have another if I don't ever get well or if pregnancy will always stir up this disease.
csab - for your DS, i hope he gets the scholarship, you must be so proud!
Can't wait to hear how he goes.
So glad V ate some sausage and it's great you think she's putting on weight, hopefully that runny nose will go soon and she might have MORE of an appetite.
amy_o - you poor things, hope you get plenty of rest and your feeling better soon.
I love Best & Less.. will you get staff discounts? they have some gorgeous clothes for little girls!
Moi - Yeah Ava is into EVERYTHING she has no fear at all, i swear she is meant to be a boy!
Had a look at the house and we put an offer in so see how we go, it needs a bit of work but hey we can't pass up 4 acres and in the long run it's a nice open space for our kids and only 10min from town!
Helps that DP is a carpenter though and can get LOTS of things cheap or free to do the place up.
So glad you haven't had any attacks, like i've said before try not to worry too much about bub #2, when and if it happens i'm sure you will make the right decision for yourselves.
Hope M's going well and enjoying chasing her walker.
Got Ava's skin ***** test results today and they said the reaction was to egg so now we have to wait until the 9th Feb for her appt at RCH.. hmm interesting, no NEW egg products for her and she's not to try egg alone at all.
I'm sure it will all be fine, now to keep the MIL and relo's from giving her things behind my back!
Well DS didnt win the scholarship, but we are still very proud of him. He was up against the City private schools, and for him to come from the Sth West of Sydney he did extremely well to even get a look in. I dont understand how some of them won TBH, as they werent that great, but I am probably being bias. The others all had their teachers and schools helping them and also had the use of top quality school equipment, where my DS did it all out of school. He was very disappointed and we were disappointed for him, but as we mentioned to him, that he did very well. He really wanted the scholarship, but it wasnt meant to be. He isnt giving up on his dream and if anything it is making him more determined to succeed. He did win Best Film Editing, so thankfully he won something.
Olivia seems to be getting better, which is great, cheeky as ever, loves to tell me No!!! now. lol. Like come here Olivia, No...... hehehe.
Georgi - Good to talk yesterday, hopefully we get to catch up this week. Cant wait to give that little BJ a cuddle. Enjoy your stay here in Sydney.
Ava - GL with the acres, hope you get it. Make sure you let us know how Ava goes at the RCH in Feb, gl trying to keep the relos from giving her things without asking first. hugs
Moi - I hope M reaches her 8kg mark soon hun, your doing the right thing not putting her forward facing yet. I think V might be rear facing for a while yet. Its good to here the attacks have been giving you a break, I hope it continues hun. I sure hope you get to have another bub hun, I really hope that the DR's can help with controlling the disease when you do. Sending lots of hugs.
Amy - I hope you and B get well soon hun, and GL with Dh trial, I hope he shows them how good he is. hugs
AVA - well she took more than 5 steps last night.. YAY can't wait for her to walk it's getting harder and harder to fit her and my belly in the same small position!
Has a bit of a temp this morn and VERY sooky, keeps pulling at her ears so thinking it's teething but going to keep an eye on her
Oh her new word is CHEEKY.. yep you read right.. CHEEKY if the girls at MG hadn't been here the other day i wouldn't believe it.
HOUSE - had the finance lady over last night and we got conditional approval and we should know within 10-12 days if we get the loan, all goes well we settle on the 12th Jan.. 4 days after #2 is due!
I have posted a link to some pics if you want to have a look, it needs a bit of work but oh well, it's land and it WILL BE ours... (i keep telling myself it's gonna work out) Flickr: Photos & Video from avasmum1
csab - hope your DS keeps his motivation going and shows those private school kids that he is so much better than them by succeeding and being a BIG DEAL in a couple of years time.
How funny about being told NO... Ava answers YEAH to everything and every now and then throws in a NO.. can't wait til she realises what she's saying.
They are such little characters now.
Ava - Keep saying to yourself it will work out and it will. I didnt get to see the pics, it wouldnt show me. Woohoo on little Ava takign 5 steps, clever girl. at Ava saying cheeky, how cute. DS has applied for a few film schools, so will see how he goes. He has a few things in the works atm in which his agent is looking at for him, so we will see what comes out of it. Some of those short films were really good the other day, so he did do well competeing.
Well Had V's immunisation done yesterday, she seemed to handle them heaps better this time than the last few times. So far touch wood too, no temps. Had her weighed too and from 5.9kg bare weight 5weeks ago, she is now clothed weight 6.5kg. Diferent Dr, so different scales but it gives me an idea on how she is progressing especially since her move to cows mil and pediasure. She did stop eating when first starting the pediasure, but has been eating quite well lately has even started eating some meat. So very pleased with how she is going.
I huge to everyone else and i hope everyone is well. hugs
I'm sure your DS will do amazing things csab and with such a supportive family he can't go wrong!
Glad V is putting on weight and eating more, the needles are horrible aren't they!
