    Hi all,

Ava - Keep saying to yourself it will work out and it will. I didnt get to see the pics, it wouldnt show me. Woohoo on little Ava takign 5 steps, clever girl. at Ava saying cheeky, how cute. DS has applied for a few film schools, so will see how he goes. He has a few things in the works atm in which his agent is looking at for him, so we will see what comes out of it. Some of those short films were really good the other day, so he did do well competeing.

Well Had V's immunisation done yesterday, she seemed to handle them heaps better this time than the last few times. So far touch wood too, no temps. Had her weighed too and from 5.9kg bare weight 5weeks ago, she is now clothed weight 6.5kg. Diferent Dr, so different scales but it gives me an idea on how she is progressing especially since her move to cows mil and pediasure. She did stop eating when first starting the pediasure, but has been eating quite well lately has even started eating some meat. So very pleased with how she is going.

I huge to everyone else and i hope everyone is well. hugs

I'm sure your DS will do amazing things csab and with such a supportive family he can't go wrong!
Glad V is putting on weight and eating more, the needles are horrible aren't they!

Ava - That looks wonderful, I sure hope you get it? GL. I absolutely dred getting the needles done. I have to take V back in 2weeks for the meningoccal one. Ohh the joys.
DS has big plans, but I do worry. Onyl as the industry he wants to get into is a difficult one to make it in. Everyone wants to be famous. I want him to make sure he has a career to fall back on iykwim. So fingers crossed his dream comes true.

Avasmum - Very exciting that Ava is taking steps and that you have a house. It looks great.

csab - Congrats on DS winning an award. He sounds like he's doing so well already. And yay on V getting to 6kgs. M was fine with the 12 month immunisations. No reactions at all, so hopefully V will be the same.

I'll do an update on me and M in point form cos a lot to cover:
    • DH's aunt had a heart attack this week. She's on life support at the moment and we've been told that there is too much brain damage so she won't last much longer. V sad.
    • I saw a new doctor today who was better than the last one but still not what I'm after. I'm not sure whether to keep looking for a doctor or wait for now because I am doing alright at the moment. I did have a quick talk to him about what would happen with future pregnancies, which I knew he wouldn't be able to answer, but yeah he agreed it's a tough decision. Risking my health vs expanding our family. He did say if it were him he would go for expanding the family and he did suggest maybe we can try some things to prevent the Meniere's from occuring again but it would all be experimental. Anyway, for now I need to get well before considering it.
    • Made it to 3 1/2 weeks without a vertigo attack and the feeling of moving all the time is lessening. So I really hope I am getting better!!
    • M now refuses to use her walkers again and will only walk holding on to people's hands and that's ALL she wants to do all day long. So my back is sore!!! She is so scared about trying to take steps on her own so I reckon it'll be ages till she walks still. My poor back!
    • M has started to sometimes get back down from standing on her own. When she is distracted. She is so cautious with everything! So most of the time she still calls for help to get back down.
    • M has started hitting me when I won't do what she wants me to do. I understand that she is frustrated and doesn't understand what she's doing but it does upset me a bit and I don't know what to do when she hits me. Any ideas? I guess behaviour wise she is definitely a toddler now!
    • M still doesn't really say much at all which is worrying and upsetting me now. But I dunno if I just can't hear her. Like the other day I think I heard her say Bee when I said Bye. And I was yelling at our cat saying "Out Out" and now when M sees our cat sometimes she says "Oo Oo". She's NEVER said MUM or MAMA!!!! She mostly says "Dada" and then babbles and I can't understand anything else. It sounds like everyone else's bubs are saying heaps of words and in comparison M isn't really saying any.

MOi - Ohh hun, I am so sorry about your DH mum. What a terrible time for your family ontop of everything else. Try not to worry about M, V doesnt always say words continuously, she says her main words like Mum, dad, and sometimes repeats some words you say, but not clearly. Dh wouldnt even understand half the things V says lol. I think you get to pick up on what they are trying to say. Some words are out of the blue, then may take a while before it gets spoken again. V says No and shakes her head, but thats because I must say that all the time. M will get their and you will wonder what you were worried about. Mum is also a harder word for bubs to say, so sometimes takes a bit longer, which is why most bubs say Dada first. Dont forget hun, she is still young and still practising with her sounds. V still babbles on and points at things then laughs. So I just talk back to her by saying Ohhh, thats good. Gee your clever. Your such a good girl etc. I always talk to V clearly so she knows the right way of saying it. From the moment she was born always spoke clearly. I think that helps alot too. When ever someone would talk to her babyish, I would get annoyed only because thats not how I want her to learn to speak. As I mentioned, M will be fine hun, she will amaze you with the words she speaks. Hang in there. So glad your symptoms appear better. I hope it continues to improve. Hugs.

Thanks csab. I know I'm prob worrying for nothing about M. I do talk to her all the time properly but she just doesn't say many words clearly. But yeah I do wonder if I'm like your DH and I just can't pick up on it.

Oh and it's not my DH's mum who's dying, it's his aunt. Still not good though! It's his dad's sister and his father is very distraught as you can imagine.

Well I'm still waiting for mum/mumma clearly. He was saying a few things but now he's saying less - really just dadda all the time... then just last week I was saying oh dear he's not talking much and he's been babbling madly ever since! (not much that's intelligible though!). And as sure as eggs, as soon as you post this, she'll probably chatter for a week!

Oh and we are suddenly getting hitting and tantrums too! I didn't expect it so early (duh me I guess) so I've gotta learn what to do with this too! Love to hear some wise tips!

Oh and re walking, X will not walk holding hands, but will cruise furniture. And walks on his knees it's VERY slow! Sound frustrating for you that Maya won't get down on her own... I'll cross fingers for you that she masters that one quickly. We're mad keen for X to walk to save DH's back a bit... even though it may mean more bending from the sound of it!

Sending you big big it's a tough time but pls try not to fret. Maya is just gorgeous and she will get there and do everything just right, at her own sweet time & pace! And so sorry to hear about DH's aunt
