I have also heard great things about Infants Friend. I have no advice for you other than the things you've been doing. I hope you find a solution that works real soon
With wind... a friend of mine is using a combo of gripe water and Infants Friend. I haven't used anything with Caitlin so far other than the burping positions... it takes a deal of time sometimes for her to bring the wind up but thankfully she is fairly efficient in bringing up her wind.
I can't believe Caitlin will be 8 weeks old tomorrow! I am the same as Lisa with co-sleeping... Caitlin loves it when she is in our bed but she isn't there the whole night. I bring her in if she is super unsettled or if I am too tired to sit up and feed her... I bring her in and feed her laying on our sides facing each other and then she usually drifts off to sleep but somehow I am awake enough to make sure she is on her back once she is finished feeding (I think it is autopilot!). DP is terrified of squashing her so it is him, me then Caitlin (with my arm around her and my knees up to sort of cocoon around her if that makes sense).
Hope you are all sleeping where possible and more importantly enjoying your babies!

Can I join this thread? I have just scraped in as my daughter Ella Georgia was born 30th Sept at 11:53pm!!! She was 3.280kg and 54cms long (so very long and skinny!) and head circ 33cms. I have just got home from Hosp today and so far so good as she seems mainly content, am just waiting to see what happens tonight when I can't press my buzzer for the midwives to help me with feeding / settling etc. I was due on 12th Oct so 2 weeks early but was very glad when at my Ob appoint last weds he announced I was already 4cms dilated and to head on over to the hosp as I was going to have my baby that day!!! Can't wait to get to know you and your babies better! xox
Caitlin's burps are getting bigger... lol I have to check that it is not a chuck cause they sound like chucks but there was no follow through. We have Caitlin's hip ultrasound tomorrow as when she was discharged from hospital her right hip was clicky (actual 2 weeks old, corrected 36 weeks) and when we saw the paediatrician both hips were clicky (actual 4 weeks old, corrected 38 weeks). I have to take the ultrasound to the paediatrician for him to review and am going to ask him to look however the umbilicial hernia... I am not so worried about it now but DP is worried cause it sticks out quite a lot when she cries - you can see it poke up through her clothes!
Erybery and Ella. Our group is great and you will love being apart of it (as you can see, I am very modest about what a great group we are ). I've added your info to our arrivals group at the beginning of this thread. I hope your first night home from hospital goes really well.
TK - Good luck with your ultrasound tomorrow. Sounds like a good idea to ask the ped about C's umbilical hernia if you are concerned. S/he will be able to give you more info than I did. DS's was really really large around his first birthday (it would have stuck out a good 3 cm and was very very wide) so I don't think C's would be overly concerning, but the ped will be able to tell you if it is anything to be concerned about.
Hi to everyone else.
AFM - DD2 has horrible wind now and the wind pain is starting to cause lots of sleeplessness. It is so sad. I hate seeing her in pain. Infant's Friend has been working wonderfully for sorting her wind until the last couple of days and it is just getting worse and worse. She wants to feed all the time to make herself feel better. I have to give her to DH to hold because she has given me some major hickeys trying to latch on anywhere on my body she can get. Apart from that, everything else is going well and I am recovering really well from my c-sect.
