PAP - could you go to a playgroup that even though most of them would be N's age you may meet someone that has a littlie too?? As for Optus coverage, it is a bit intermittent around here, but all the providers are like that. Texts will generally get in and out without a problem (maybe a little bit of wandering around). There is a public phone at the shops (and another at the Muffin Shop) although Telstra have threatened to take them away, but council isn't letting them. We have a landline here if your mum is desperate though!! And if you're coming at Xmas I hope you book in soon - can get very busy!!
I think DH still expecting you to do 50% of N is a bit much. That first 3 months kind of passed in a blur for me, I can remember being so proud of myself staying awake for more than 12 hours straight, I can't imagine having a little toddler to look after that wouldn't let me catch up on some sleep!! Also I know what you mean about not having many friends around, I don't really have anyone here, mine are all in Canberra.
Ange - glad the interview went well, hope your throat feels better tomorrow. Chances of flu are a lot less in PNG I suppose.
Arte - great news on the sleeping!
Rainy - stunning pic!!
No strange noises tonight and K was an angel. I brought the cot mattress out and she just jumped on that and played with her dollies for ages while I was unpacking groceries etc. Also a 30 min bath made the evening without DH go very quickly!!
