Yea I think mentioning this in the antenatal classes woukd be helpful because it was such a shock to the system!! My mothers group have been great....they are all going thru the same thing yayyyyyyyyyy......
I thought I was going thru this alone but now I know I'm not!!1
i thought i was the only one. DD had a bit of hair hanging pout of her mouth the other dya so iw ent to pull it out and she started coughign when it got the the end of the hair there was a big hair ball. i felt so bad that she had swallowed it but even worse that ia m loosing that mcuh she was able to get a fur ball out of it lol
My DS is just about to turn 7 months and I am still filling up the shower drain with hair every time I wash it!! I was starting to think there was something wrong with me, glad to see it is normal.
Oh thank god! I thought there was something seriously wrong with me Im actually getting visible bald spots on my scalp now mines falling out that much! my bub is 7 months now didnt happen with my 1st. I know what you mean about bubby always having your hair on him mine has hair all over him and now hes crawling and he poops it out eeeek!
Well its been over a month since my last post and yes the hair is still falling out!! I went to my hairdresser for comfort and she reassured me it is normal!!
Aparently there is a hormone that in your 3rd trimester goes to your hair that makes it nice and lush!!! So that's why your hair feels so nice and healthy!!!
Then once the baby is born a few months later this hormone leaves your hair and focus's on other parts off your body...hence the hair loss!!! Interesting!!!!
Oh well I will need to vacuum and clean the shower more often for a bit longer then!!!!
another one losing hair.
I forgot that i suffered with this badly with Hamish and now i am losing it again with Lachlan.
Im hoping it will slow down soon. I hate my hair being everywere, especially as it seems to wrap around Lachlans little fingers.
As a bit of encouragement, Si's about 8 months, and my hair loss has slowed a bit I think. It always concerned me, because I have fine hair, so I can't afford to lose it!
I think another factor for me, is that I don't get to brush/shower as often as I used to, so more hair falls out at once, as opposed to losing a little bit every day.
I do have that lovely spiky regrowth though...very tidy and attractive.
