Well had the scan today and I thought I might cheat and copy in what I wrote in my BB group about it
Everything is fine with bubs although I must say I am dissapointed with the quality of the scan, everything was unclear because of the placenta being anterior. We got a copy of the scan and have tried watching it but it is hard to see much at all even though it runs for about 7 minutes. The sonographer kept moving and zooming in making it even more blurry like, it was clearer when zoomed out but he wanted to get close ups and it just wasn't working out. We asked to find out sex and the sonographer was hesitant to tell us, he has suggested girl but is only 70% sure and I am not convinced since he really struggled to find the right hand. Grr to anterior placentas, but I did mention to DH that only a girl would want her privacy LOL
Main points I am happy about from the scan today is that when the HB first came up on the screen a really big weight was lifted from my shoulders and also the fact that I felt the movement at the same time I seen the movement so now there is no doubt at all about what I am feeling.
Sonographer wants us to come back on the 10-01 for another scan just to double check bubs spine because at 18w4d it's apparently underdeveloped, they're not worried, just want to be sure before the give the all clear. Hoping we can get another look at gender then too...
Gotta keep moving, trying to get over this dam cold I've had since christmas, and organising things for DD birthday tomorrow...
