Did you have lots of names you'd settled on before you found the perfect one?
    Lots? Only about 483

At one stage we had a list of about 10... Which we have slowly whittled down to one. We agreed on this name for about 2-3 months. And then I changed my mind

I came up with a great one which we both agreed on... And then DH changed his mind!!

He came home one day and said a name which we both fell in love with. As soon as he said it, I knew it was the right name.

    Don't stress hun, it'll happen!!!

I usually have three or four names that I flit between, each one being THE one for that week or day, but then another or my favourites takes over for a while. DH never has any. Both our DDs were going to be Sarah, but when they were born neither "looked" like a Sarah. Not quite sure what Sarahs are supposed to look like, but it wasn't them ;-) I think we've learned our lesson that we just don't make Sarahs, because that's not even on my short list this time.

I hate not being prepared but DH hates being prepared so its a bit hit and miss for us.

It's so hard Ash, and you're definitely not weird! I think giving your child a name is a huge responsibility.

I had loads of girls names and a couple of boys picked out; DH only ever had a couple. He vetoed my favourites and I did the same with all of his.

When we found out we were having a pink one, there were two names we heard that we both fell in love with that were never on the original lists, and that was that. Time for my confession - we have one if she's a brunette, and one if she's a redhead

Good luck, and don't feel pressure to have it planned in advance. I predict we'll change our minds!

I'm like a fish out of water, I flip and flop between names. Aiden was going to be Zekiah, Sienna was going to be Brennan, Bella was going to be Riley, Ruby was going to be Irelynn and Sophie was going to be Juno. I change my mind last minute

With DS1 we named him after he was born, we both liked Joshua. With DS2 we couldn't decide, and so we kept changing our mind, like every couple of days, but I kinda knew DF was dead set on Cameron as it was the only other name he really liked apart from Joshua.
