How many names had you picked before you settled on the right one?

With my first 2 once we came up with their name they we were set, never thought of any other names. This bub has been difficult with names and we have been 98% sure on a name but something keeps us from saying that's the one, I said to dh maybe we need to have a few names and decide once he is born and in our arms

I loved the time we spent going over all the names that our baby might be called. We found out very early that we were having a boy so that narrowed down the choices to be made.

I told DP that he could pick the baby's name. (from the short-list that I had approved ).

In the end we had 3 boys names that we liked. I knew which of the 3 I preferred but I was happy to leave it up to DP. When our DS was born and in my arms DP asked me what I would like to call him (I thought he probably would), so I got to choose the name. DP said that is most likely the name he would have chosen as well. It suits him perfectly too.

With DS1 - we had 2 sets of names and decided on which one after he was born. It's like one name just suited him the instant I saw him. No girls name picked whatsoever so too bad if they'd gotten it wrong. LOL

With DS2 - we had one boy name and one girl name. So that was that.
