    Default Pearly white spot??

My 9 month DS has a white spot on the front of his lower gum. A friend told me that this called a "Pearly White Spot" and that its quite common but i've never heard of it.

Has anyone else? Or does anyone know what else it might be?

I took my baby DD to the dr about these. She said it was some sort of cyst that is quite common (sorry I've forgotten the name), typically look like a small white lump. They don't hurt and they go away by themselves.

Thanks Marydean. Do you know what causes it? It's been there for about 2 months now.

Umm, no, don't know what causes it, but the dr seemed to think it was completely normal. If you're worried, get the GP to have a squiz at it next time you've got DS up there for something else.
