Oscar has never had anything else to drink so far. I am keeping him away from juices and cordial for as long as possible. He loves water which is fantastic so I keep encouraging it as much as possible!
I know a few women with coke addictions. I can understand in a way: I'd struggle to avoid my 2 cups of coffee each day. Maybe what you could try is not keeping it in the house... at least not in large bottles. Buy a 750ml bottle so that you are forced to ration it and that when your children are older you will notice the level go down faster! If it's just a small bottle then it looks more like some ONE'S bottle... not just something available to who ever opens the 'fridge.
I was only able to give up coffee on a few occassions when it simply wasn't kept in the house. If you really want to quit i'd start there... allow yourself to buy it when you are shopping... maybe allocate one single venue (cafe/supermarket) where you allow yourself to buy it so that you aren't doing a total ban... psychologically that should be better/easier to cope with.
You could also check out a thread i started last year... don't know if it's still up... about what a single can of coke does to you! LOL That should make you even more determined to keep it away from your kids... I'll see if I can find a link.
good work being so focussed on this too BTW
ETA: Ok here is the link to the Coke drinking thread

Jovie gets rice milk and water. Matilda is 4 and only now gets 1/2 cup of juice every few days.
In summer when I was struggling to get Matilda to drink anything, I would give her a drop of cordial in water, and Jovie would scream, so I'd do a drop of beetroot juice in water LMAO.... just for the colour
