I'm still in the same situation. Two beautiful kids, when I always wanted five. Still (if I'm quick) time for three more though

Still in the man-less situation though...

Wow, first time I visit in here in almost a year and this is the first thread I see!

Div you have but, two, but what a magnificent two

We ended up with our planned three. Then I had the snip to keep it that way

I did not want any once I hit late teens to adulthood. Even DH & I discussed all this before we got together and we both agreed no kids. I hit 31 and changed my mind. We decided then, if we go for one, we go for two. DD2 was taking her time, so we almost stopped at one.

So no we have two and it is staying that way. The only way for more is if I have an affair (DH + snip)

I never decided. I wasn't even sure I wanted kids till I was in my thirties and divorced. Yep, great timing.

Then I decided I wanted kids with a bloke whose ex lived on my street, had two kids of his own and had the snip. Another superb choice. That didn't last.

So my path to finding DP and having DD1 was a little chequered

After I had DD1 at 38, I was pretty hooked and wanted a truckload. My body does not do well with pregnancy though. Infact, my body is stuffed. Dodgy pelvis, dodgy back, dodgy hip which makes the physical demands of looking after pre-school children pretty tough. I had DD2 and I regard her as my miracle baby in terms of actually surviving the pregnancy with my mental health intact because the physical aspect (housebound, wheelchair) was so emotionally frustrating.

I would still like a truckload but my age is against me and physically it's just too challenging for me. It's extremely frustrating to live in a pigsty because if you go around picking things up off the floor you'll need to spend the next day in bed.
