As you know I'm going for a VBAC as well & I will admit that I'm already "overdue" now. So far no-one has put any pressure on me but they do keep talking about that magical 10 days post dates where they start thinking of inducing in a non-VBAC birth, so I'm not sure what they'll talk about for me....

One thing I know that they can do, which is a relatively new thing for inductions as far as I know is a balloon induction. Basically they put a foley's cathetar into the cervix & blow up the balloon to dilate the cervix to 3-4cm & leave it there for a few hours in the hope that it will kickstart things. It is an induction yes, but one that they can do for a VBAC. Do a google search on it & ask at your next appointment if your hospital would be willing to do one for you if you go post dates. Hopefully though you won't need it
