Inducing is a scam. I accept there are instances where it is correct, but these should be rare, not just when a women is late past a few days.
I know soooo many healthy young women who have had complications (usually a long hard labour resulting in a c-section, or other complications) and all because the date the doctor says based on measurements and scans is not in sync with your body's natural delivery time.
The natural gestation period can range from 37 - 44 weeks. Yet a day over 42 weeks (sometimes even over 40 weeks!) and you will be at the prey of Doctors pressuring you to induce because of *possible* fetal distress.
No woman deserves a long and painful labour if it can be avoided. And inducing in most cases can be avoided.
Hopefully the WHO guidelines will be revised one day soon without the help of the drug companies who make the induction drugs.
