I found it so hard not to compare him to what his peers were doing, what the books said he should be doing and taking him to doctors to make sure there was nothing wrong with him. But he was just doing it in his own time. I wasted so much time obsessing over what he "should" be doing that I couldn't enjoy what he WAS doing.

Not saying this is the case for you, definately get her checked over and follow your instincts. But try not to let it consume you, enjoy her as she is, because, sadly, you never get that time again.

it is so so stressful.
This is something to really think about. They compare your child to a 'norm' from who knows what era?!

Thank you everyone, I guess they come in all shapes and sizes.

To be honest I'm less concerned about her health and more concerned with what the doctor will say. I'm confident she is strong and there's nothing actually wrong, so I will try to convey my confidence at her check up.

Mummy instinct is a very powerful force. I think if your DD was sick constantly & looking unwell then there would be cause for concern. Best of luck at the Dr's
