Don't need covers with flongies darl. The flongies keep the wet in. Then the flogies just go in the wash like normal clothes.

Am trying to not come in here too often before I get paid so all you enablers dont get to me! lol.
Mmm must remember to tell DH we're "trialling" nappies for people!

DS found the stash of nappies for the baby and got a bit funny..who's this one for mummy? what about this one? etc. He actually picked up the giraffe print minky widdlewun and took it to his room!

was thinking surely I must have enough in NB/small for a while, since I hve a few OSFA as well, but Im not sure about covers.

I've got 3 bummis pull up PUL covers, 1 bummi SWW, 1 tots bots cover that looks HUGE, 1 wool and 1 PUL BBH small cover and 2 soakers.

What I did notice is no covers with leg gussets..are thirsties the best ones to get

Also I have no snibs, was planning to take the bummis PUL pants to hospital - is that nota good idea? Do I really need to get snibs as well?

Oohh, congrats to all you lucky sugar shots owners!!!!!

Ad let me go for it... was refreshing constantly.. seen the "add to basket", pounced, and then nothing in my cart....... definatly not my nappy week.....but it was more exxy than a custom, so not too sad!!!

My BIL owns his own shop that does printing and embroidery, so I'm gonna give him a MA minkee and see if it works......Cant do most of my nappies, but it should work on pockets.....

    WOKB MM purple nights

Morning all - thanx for 'grats *mwah*

Ray - IMO - motherease are the best with gussets - I had a thirsties and the material just felt so thin - I felt like it wouldn't do anything! Not nearly as nice as motherease

Looks like every other question has been covered!

Righto thats all nappy news for me!!

    Request to be enabled...

with all this talk of NB covers... I thought I would ask to be enabled... I have about 3 or so Maz NB covers at the moment (may be more - my stash is at DPs parents so I have forgotten some of the things I have... makes me think how excited I will be when I rediscover it all) - I am planning to get more NB sized covers throughout the pg and was going to get some of the covers that I have seen mentioned in here but you ladies talk so fast I can't find the names again!

    So enable me...
what covers did you use for your NB?
how many did you have? or how many should you have had?
which ones would you recommend to avoid? why?

what covers did you use for your NB?

    Ok ones I had:
    1 x newborn, 1 x small maz cover
1 x newborn cover, 1 x medium - motherease (might of had a small too - can't recall off the top of my head - I think I did)
a couple of bummi's - pul and fleece
Ummm a couple of others that the names escape me.....
    Wool stuff
Baby beehinds x 2 in small

And I had enough with all that and I was mostly using fitteds.
I now know to avoid the baby beehinds - they were just way too big on her (yes, the smalls!) and I recently got rid of all mine cos I didn't like the fit, they leaked for us AND they left red welts on her thighs, and no other brand did.

ooooh maz! fluffy heaven... are you rolling around in all that minky goodness? BTW, have you tried hypericum for your owie thumb? That and rosehip oil. I used to use that back in the day for all the battle scars on my hands from working in a commercial kitchen. I'll never be a hand model, but the cuts healed fast and the scars are a lot less noticeable than they could be!

Gigi - Glad Bilby is feeling better now! Must have been quite a scare for you...
DS usually has a fleece cover (maz or tots bots) over his NN with pjs, or longies. He wriggles around a lot, and wakes up every two hours at the moment (oh joy!). Last night he soaked thru a Wild Child NN by 10pm, then was awake at 12, 2, then again at 3:45 asking to go to the potty. He'd wet thru a BumG stuffed with both microfibre inserts and 2 hemp boosters (all I had available at the time). And then weed and pooped on the potty. Didn't sleep again until 5, and then up at 7:15 with a soaking wet BBB. I swear I'm not BFing him THAT much!! I don't know where he gets all this liquid from...

Oh, and the Thirsties covers are really quite good in x-small size. They feel a bit thin, but they do the job and I never had a leak or containment problems. Sometimes I still use the small size for DS now, over terry flats. They're just starting to get a bit tight now, and he's over 10kg. JMO!

WOHB: Terry flat and Thirsties cover! Still haven't finished folding laundry from yesterday... so lazy.
