Hi guys,

How are you all?

DH and I have just started TTC and I am currently taking Elevit as my supplement.

I have read on a couple of sites that Fish Oil (for both me and DH) and Evening Primrose Oil are supposed to help 'assist' when ovulating...

Has anyone heard this? While I don't think it could hurt to take the extra supplements, I just wanted to see what you thought??

hi elocin. you should be taking a fish oil while taking elevit as it helps you absorb one of the ingredients better, sorry i can't remember which one. i take the blackmores preg and bf tablets as they have all the right ones for conceiving and for when you fall preg. they have the fish oil in it already so no need to take anymore. hth

yeah i too have heard that the blackmores new range is 'better' than elevit now because of the inclusion of the fish oil...

we used elevit last time but this time may be swayed (although taking two pills a day is more recipe for disaster for me LOL!)

Hi guys, im a newie here, so a lot of the short forms you guys i dont quite get it. anyway, we are trying to get pregnant for 3 months now, i have stopped my pill in jan, but i was only on that pill for 3 weeks, stopped it as i forgot to take. then my period becomes longer, 1st month 39-days, 2nd month 42 days, then this month its already up to 44 days, my period hasnt start yet. we have used ovulation kits, and tried during ovulation time, also, i tried the lie down tech for 30 mins after having sex, but still no luck!

so, now i am a bit worried that i have infertility problem. instead of going to doc, i would like to try some natural meds. can anyone suggest to me naturopath u have seen who had helped you to get pregnant? i live in blackburn north,victoria. im really getting a bit nervous now...help needed...

Babyeager, I was in your boat too - I managed to fall pregnant after a few cycles and had a beautiful little boy nearly 2 years ago.

I breastfeed him and my period only came back 15 months after his birth when I dropped feeds back to one a day. I conceived in Dec 08 and miscarried at about 6 wks.

I'm back with the same dilemma of long cycles now though. Through charting I've found out my luteal phase is consistantly 9 or 10 days. I started medical acupuncture at the start of my last cycle (which ended up being 39 days) and was having one session a week until just before I ovulated. The acupunturist told me I would probably not fall pregnant straight away. She said I would need to do 2 cycles on it. Unfortunately she has gone away for a month so I won't get the follow up treatment this cycle (which started today). I've seen a fertility specialist who said I've got borderline polycystic overies on one side. My progesterone was 28 at 7 days past ovulation, and although thats within the 'normal' range, I suspect low progesterone is my issue. The fertility specialist said he will start me on clomid in a few months if I don't fall pregnant in the meantime. I'm really reluctant to try clomid as I'm worried about possible birth defects.

I was putting all of my faith in acupuncture, but from my last long cycle and short luteal phase, I'm wondering if its going to help. I know the dr said it would take 2 cycles, but I thought I'd see a slight 'improvement' towards a 'normal' cycle from treatment during that last cycle. Not being able to start acupunture again for this next cycle because the dr is away is incredibly frustrating. Has anyone had much experience with consecutive acupunture for fertility? Should I be seeing an improvement after one cycle? Does it have to start at the beginning of a cycle?

I was also take 75mg (or whatever the dose unit is), which again has seemed to help so I've doubled the dose to 150 for this cycle.

Can anyone give me some pointers for avoiding what may be recurring chemical pregnancy (undiagnosed)? I understand low doses of aspirin, Vitamins C, E and B6 might help.

I have only ever had one recorded CP but I think I've had more, and I don't think my FS will believe that there's an issue until I have more recorded CPs. In the meantime, I'd like to try some natural and safe preventions.

IF the endometrial lining is a bit thin or otherwise not in as optimal condition as possible, affecting implantation, then CHM can be of assistence to you, likewise if there's an immunological issue, I think Chinese Medicine is a very good option for you.

Hi everyone

I've found this thread really interesting because I have been trying to regulate my cycles with the help of n'paths, acupuncturist and kinesiologist for more than 18 months now in the hope of TTC #1 and still no luck. I haven't tried Chinese herbs though.

All my BT and ultrasound tests show there's nothing wrong with me or DH, but my cycles range from 90 days to 35 days and my LP has now decreased from 12 days to 8 days. Vitex stopped me Oing for 3 months so now I'm taking Tribulus with some liquid herbs, which has shortened my cycles but also shortened my LP. I'm pretty sure the reason why I have irregular cycles is because I was on the pill for 10 years and was too skinny in my mid-late 20s, which stopped AF for 4 years. But I'm a healthy weight now and surely after 18 months of working on my lifestyle and health I should be able to TTC???

I'm seeing a very reputable n'path for fertility so have faith that she knows what she's doing.

I'm just wondering...when do you decide the Eastern way isn't strong enough and it's time to see a FS? I've spent $1000's trying to correct my cycles and TTC naturally but I'm quickly losing faith...

Before you lose faith in natural medicine give the combination of acupuncture and chinese herbs a go for 3 months. This is long enough to expect to see some response and if you do end up going down the ART route, will prepare your body to best respond to the stimulatory drugs.

The results of research on zeolite are very impressive:
1. Zeolite appears to prevent and may become an important treatment for cancer. In one study, 78 percent of the 65 participants with terminal cancer (many types) are now in complete remission for 12 months (LifeLink Pharmaceuticals, 2005, currently not published).
2. It has a chelation-like effect in removing heavy metals (particularly lead, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic), pesticides, herbicides, PCBs, and other toxins from the body, shown in a study of miners at Duke University. These toxins are strongly correlated with the occurrence of a wide range of diseases, including cancers and neurological disorders such as Alzheimers, autism, and dementia.
3. Zeolite also improves liver function, indirectly improving elimination of pesticides, herbicides, and xeno-estrogens.
4. Zeolite appears to block viral replication, and may prove to be a potent anti-viral and general remedy for all viruses. To date, 40 anecdotal cases of herpes zoster have reportedly been healed. Preliminary anecdotal case studies suggest that it may help alleviate rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and hepatitis C as well as the common cold and flu.
5. Zeolite's binding power was proven during the Chernobyl disaster, when tons of it were used to remove radioactive cesium and strontium-90 before they contaminated local water systems.
6. Zeolite creates a natural buffer in the system by establishing an optimal pH level (between 7.35 and 7.45), which in turn activates healthy brain function and a strong immune system.
7. It is an effective detoxifier for prospective mothers and fathers. Anecdotal evidence and centuries of use in Asia suggest that zeolite is safe to use even during pregnancy and breastfeeding, although its safe use in pregnancy has not been proven in double-blind studies.
A pilot study at the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center with 55 people, based on my non-toxic baby protocol for preparing parents to bring forth non-toxic babies, consisted of a one-week green juice fast and detox support program with zeolite in the form of Natural Cellular Defense (NCD) 15 drops, 4X/day. The following very significant results were found. 18 people were tested for depleted uranium (DU), a very serious worldwide radioactive contamination resulting from the use of DU armaments, especially used in Iraq.

Sixteen of the 18 people tested initially had DU in at least the liver, the breast, or the brain, and 13 of the 18 people had started with it in all three organs, the liver, the breast, and the brain. In one week on this protocol, all the people became DU-free except for one person, who still had DU in the liver. Also, thirty-two people were tested for Teflon and Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), the carcinogenic element of teflon. Teflon was found in the livers of 27 people, the breasts of 25 people, and the brains of 28 people. All but two people became teflon-free after one week. Only one person had Teflon remaining in the breast, and one person had Teflon remaining in the brain.
In the same 32 people, initially PFOA was found in the liver of 28 people, the breast of 29 people, and the brain of 28 people. After one week, all people became PFOA-free except for one person having PFOA remaining in the breast and brain. In testing people for a whole set of toxins consisting of 14 to 26 of the common heavy metals, pesticides, and herbicides, the people initially had on average 90 to 95% of the toxins in their liver, breast, and brain, whether they were live-food eaters or not.

The overall percentage of removal of these toxins from these organs was 88%, leaving only 12% of the toxins in their systems overall. This included 91% removal from the liver, 88% removal from the breast, and 87% removal from the brain. In the 55 people tested the heavy metals, pesticides, and herbicide toxins, initially 801 toxins were found in the subjects' livers, 825 toxins in the breasts, 824 toxins in the brain. After the one-week protocol, just 73 toxins were left in the liver, 102 toxins left in the breast, and 111 toxins left in the brain:

The four subjects who continued the green juice fasting with NCD for two weeks went down to 0 toxins, a 100% removal rate. These results suggest a powerful synergy of NCD plus a detoxifying green juice fast. In observing thousands of fasters since 1988, fasting alone?although wonderful for enhancing the vital force?does not seem to significantly get rid of pesticides, herbicides, and heavy metals after 1 week by itself.
I am proposing a theoretical model for explaining the testimonials of the powerful, across-the-board healing effects of NCD (a purified zeolite) from such health problems as ADD/Hyperactivity, Addiction, Agent Orange Exposure, Arthritis, Autism, Cancer, Cysts and Tumors, Depression, DES Exposure, Diabetes, Fibromyalgia, Flu, Colds, and Respiratory Problems, Gastro-Intestinal Problems, Heavy Metal Poisoning, Hepatitis C, High Blood Pressure, HIV/AIDS, Kidney Stones, Lack of Mental Clarity, Pain, PMS/Menstrual Pain, Silicone Breast Implant Toxicity, Skin Conditions, Spider Bite, Toothache/Gum Disease, Varicose and Spider Veins, Viral and Other Infections, Yeast Infections.

I hold Gabriel Cousens in very high regard, and have been using Zeolite in my clinic for a few years now. It is such an amazing substance, and is a wonderful tool for 'capturing' toxins and safely removing them from the body.

My new and wonderful TCM & AC Clinic physician, advised me she would like me to have AC 24 hours before ET, and then just BEFORE ET.

I mentioned to the receptionist, my readings where contrary to this, she suggested every person, is different, as is more than happy to attend her clinic at 6.30 am this Sunday to peform AC before ET at 7.45 am.

I was wondering if anyone has has accupuncture "just before" ET ?
