Hmmm, i reckon that when the time is right you just KNOW.
We started TTC when DS turned one, but I have PCOS and use clomid to O. It took 6 months. The boys are 2yrs 5mths apart. I would've loved a smaller age gap originally (my sister and i are 17 months apart and have always been BF), BUT the age gap the boys have is fab. Evan was just out of nappies, and is a bit more independent, sleeps well, and can do a few things for himself (get himself a drink and snacks if i'm busy with Zac). And he is also at a stage where he can understand he needs to share my attention a bit.
According to the "experts" () the 'ideal' age gap is 2.5yrs so they both get enough mummy attention. And 4yrs + is too big. But IMO, whatever you have is the perfect.
Are you happy to BF through pregnancy and tandem feed? I guess that would be a big consideration for me. And I am TTC now (kind of!) while BFing and if i fell pg soon i would def end up tandem feeding.
