Hi Aamy

I had an OK-ish luteal phase length, but when TTC naturally did dabble with B6 and after just two weeks it extended my luteal phase by one day. Chatting to other TTC gals on other forums, they have found a one-day extension to pretty much be the same for them. Generally, 75mg is a good place to start. You can gradually increase this - optimal dose is 100mg. It is true you should not take more than 200mg per day as it can cause permanent nerve damage. B6 (as well as B12) will also help you absorb folate (B9) - a very important TTC and early PG vitamin. BTW, your multi will have some B6 in it, so be sure to include this in your daily dose. B6 can be bought cheaply at the chemist as "Pyroxin" - it comes in 25mg and 100mg size.
