Yeah, looking at what you want to do a stand mixer seems the most appropriate, whether it be a Kitchenaid or another brand. The KA, as said above by Christy, has optional accessories, so you can grate, slice, mince, make sausages whatever. There is a KA thread somewhere, I hope it has not gone in a cull. If you have pay tv they sometimes demo them on TVSN.
