Oh I love the scales - I hated weighing stuff before so generally guessed or didn't make stuff that required weighing but is so easy in TMX.

Realized I have missed using reverse on a few things - doh. Have made more porridge need to tweak that I prefer mine to be more oaty - but it might be mum didn't buy the cheap oats and they seem to keep form better. Did fish again and caramelized some onions and did veg in Varoma - all good. Also did choc chip cookies from EDC - worked pretty well a bit sweet but I don't like this setting aside business (and having to weigh flour on scales not TMX) so am after a biscuit recipe where once ingredient is in the TMX it doesn't come out and all weighing can be done in it - am I asking too much :-). Now in Sydney till Friday, so hope mum will be trying some stuff out.

I have made a lemon ginger chicken (asian) with steam veg dish. I also have done beef stroganoff and chicken stroganoff, again steaming the veg on top while the meal cooks. Super easy and yummy.

5 seed bread has been our go to bread and I use chia seeds as well.

DS1's birthday tomorrow. I am attempting much more of the catering than I would have in past, because of the TMX. I've done the birthday cake and some mini frittatas already. On the afternoon cooking agenda - sausage rolls, chicken nuggets and chicken herb balls. Tomorrow: raspberry lemonade, garlic and herb dip, before the party. It's only a small party - that should be heaps. Wish me luck

    Sounds great OP.

all I've done today is use it to blitz a heap of eggshells to sprinkle on the garden. Apparently that will help keep snails and slugs away from my veggies as well as add calcium to the soil.

DH has used ours today, but I haven't so far. I need to cook my salmon and vegies tonight for dinner though, so I'll use the thermie for that.

DH didn't want to do the shopping today - and I can't push the trolley any more so he has to do it - so I can't do my normal baking for the week - I'll have to do it all tomorrow. Got a big list this coming week though, so I'm pretty excited to try some different recipes out! (all paleo, gluten free type stuff obviously - I'll get the kids off wheat eventually!)

    I've missed this thread!

Today I'm doing the spelt rolls from the EDC and the Chicken Veloute with carrot and zucchini ribbons.

This past week I've cooked heaps of veg, heaps of dippy eggs (in moulds), magic bean cake, pizza dough, caramalised onions, ranch dressing (which the kids love with carrot and cucumber sticks), meatballs, New Orleans coleslaw and cheese and Vegemite scrolls.

Tonight I'm going to make croissant dough and tomorrow morning I'll turn that into chocolate croissants.

Div, if knew someone who could get me sorghum beans, I'd love you forever. I can grind them in the TMX, though using the flour is easier. They're grown in Australia but I need to buy sorghum flour from Indian grocers.

I'd be interested in some spelt flour Div! It is very expensive normally.

Got all my cooking done. The TMX made it dead easy. At one stage I had both bowls full of chicken mince waiting to be rolled, I couldn't go fast enough!

If only there was a TMX for house cleaning...!

Rouge, tell me about croissants. Easy? Hard?

Back home so today did porridge again - the cheap oats do work better. Then did pea and ham soup (found too salty but all other grownups in house liked it) and soft butter rolls (not great didnt rise much and were too sweet - the recipe in EDC did seem to put in alot of sugar - I assume they were meant to be savory???).

    ?
If only there was a thermomix for shopping I did online and managed to get 4 packets of baby capsicums when I didn't want any! Have made a few more things scrolls vegemite and cheese ham and spinach - potato and leek soup from EDC which was good. Butter chicken from EDC which had so much sauce that I then added loads of vegetables and had double the portions - not sure if I went wrong or not. Away with work next week so just trying to cram in some more TMX ing over weekend. All in all very happy with it everything an improvement on previous cooking which wasnt hard and I love the scales in it.

wysiwyg - I use organic oats for porridge. I just cook them for 15 minutes instead of the 8 or so in the recipe.

OP - the machine for housecleaning is called a robot vacuum cleaner It can't do everything, but it sure helps. Like today, I had the robotvac on whilst cooking breakfast in the TMX and wasting time on the computer

So do organic ones not dissolve so much? I like my porridge to have plenty of texture and so far have found the pricier the oats the more they breakdown. With the cheaper ones I reduce cooking time and have higher milk to water ratio as water seems to break them down more.

Ah. I like my porridge to be a sticky mush
Speaking of sticky mush I attempted gnocchi today - was way too sticky ended up having to pipe it, but I used wrong type of potatoes so that was part of it. It was quite tasty with the Tomato Pasta Sauce which I was amazed at how good it tasted and I now have lots of gnocchi in the freezer :-)

I spoke with my aunty who has one and her experience with the bread rolls from EDC was same but she gave me name of good recipe "Bestest bread rolls ever" and loads of people on there had failed with the EDC one which made me feel better.

I have used up most of my abundance of baby capsicums - stuffed risotto in some, roasted others and made a dip (my own mash up of recipe in the EDC). Did a morrocan beef thing in it which was good but again way too much sauce but then just added in loads of veg to make a load more dinners so all in all a winner.

Three TMX thoughts have had this weekend - 1. They should make a sponge which fits on like butterfly to assist with cleaning bottom and sides (it is not hard to clean but I thought this would appeal to the lazy like me). The same for drying it put in a sponge and give a few spins to dry it.
    2. Does anywhere "chain" recipes so put together stuff you can make in sequence without having to thoroughly wash and dry bowl. I am more of a use solidly for a bit and make lots of stuff than a use frequently sort of person (dictated by work a bit - my TMX and I will be separated again for the week) so limited bowl cleaning and drying appeals.
    3. What is best gift can get for hosting a demo? I can't do July so what should I be waiting for to appear as demo host gift (I got tool kit with my machine)
