Well after been a bit slack with eating the last 2 days today i am back on track

Went to a friends for dinner last night and she is doing tony ferguson with 2 x shakes and one meal a day. Anyway she cooked me dinner and it was SOOOO good just thought i'd share the "notatoes" recipe which is a good substitute for mash. I turned my nose but at the sound of it but it was really yum even my kids ate it.

    (serves 4)
cut into pieces and steam a whole cauliflower.
once cooked place in food processor with 2 tbls of LF cream chs (we used philly) or LF ricotta and process till smooth. If a little thick you are supposed to add some salt reduced vegie stock but we didnt have too. Oh we also added a tiny bit of garlic.

It looks like mash potato and didnt taste like pureed caulie. It was so good i am having it tonight with some grilled chicken brst and some brocolli on the side. I think i'll even do it for DH when he comes home and see what he thinks of it

If anyone tries it let me know what you think Good way to get more vegies into my lil munchkins.

the nonatoes sound yummy hoody migh give it a go next week

Well had yesterday off as it was my friends wedding but wasnt too bad anyway, however I did have a few soft drinks. However today I did my first workout for the couch 2 5k challenge. For someone who has never really run in my life it was really hard but I am so happy I did it! I am going to the shops now to buy some decent runners now as a treat because the shoes I am using just dont cut it.

Have my ww weigh in tomorrow and I think I might have still lost something despite a dinner out, family birthday dinner and a wedding

Tuesday its my birthday and we are going out to dinner so I am going to check out what chinese meals are the best options because thats what I feel like (no lemon duck for me lol)

I'm still not doing so great in the eating department. Most of my meals are pretty good. Lots of salads and omlettes, but I'm still having to many treats, like I just polished off a Mars bar. I have lost weight simply because of the exercise, I've been back into the weights which feels fantastic. I know though, that unless I sort my eating out the weight loss will come to a stand still. Should get better though now that DH is trying to lose weight to. The only thing that is keeping me going forward is the weigh in on Wednesday. If it wasn't for that then I would have given into the binges.

Hoody, great that you managed to get back on track, hopefully I will get there too.

doing better with the eating this weekend! Spent the days at dh's parents, and his mum is a Lifetime Member with Weight Watchers and is giving me pointers! I have decided to join WW for real, instead of just following her old books, and mil is "joining" too. She'll be coming to meetings with me, and apparently she is very competitive with losing weight! I only hope I can live up to it, and lose just as much!

I don't think I've lost any! All I see in the mirror is a rounder woman than NYE and I've been goood! whats going on?

Wow this thread has quietened down so much My notatoes were yummy again tonight so i think they will become a new household favourite

I am so proud of myself today Have only had my 1200 calories and went for a 1/2 hr walk and then this evening i did 40mins of freestyle step on wii fit. Now i'm stuffed. lol but it feels good.

Captain i'm sure you will get back on track it can be tough at times. I thought i'd do fantastic whilst DH is away but its been the opposite for me i've really struggled with eating.

Sconeonamission- Even if you havent lost any remember that you are still been good A healthy lifestyle is not always about the figure on the scales hun. Yay on joining WW i would love to and might even look into it once my DH comes home.

I didn't get out for my 6km walk but I did manage to get 4km in (1 hour).

I went at about 2pm for half an hour but I forgot my water so I headed home. DH came with me last night for another half hour. I'm feeling good and need to eat well before wednesday to hopefully see a loss.

I'm going to step up the exercise routine next week to include 20 minutes of light weights. My problem areas are my thighs (saddle bags!), tummy and arms so those are the areas I want to concentrate on. I will walk/jog for 45 minutes and then come home and do weights.

I exercise at night but that's only because I'm way too tired in the mornings to get up early enough. I generally exercise before dinner - otherwise I get a huge stitch which slows me down and ruins my mood. If I have to eat before I make sure I eat early (before 6pm) and head out for my walk about 1.5 hours later. That way I can avoid getting a stitch and I don't feel sluggish.

Well done on all the excercise girls, I am getting in a walk every day and some times go out for a extra one. last night I went for a cycle to the shop with my DH I was so nervous as it was dark and I think the last time i was on a bike it was about 2 years ago. I felt great though oh and i did some tummy exercises with the kids they thought it was great as well.

hopefully ill see a loss this week as well.

Rhianon - I exercise before eating breakfast. My theory is that my body will use all it's fat stores for fuel whereas if I ate breakfast first, it would use that for energy and then I'd be hungry again really quickly! If I have to eat first, I'll wait about an hour before exercising.

    OMG where is everyone????

I miss the busy thread Well having an OK day here ate reasonable well although did take the girls to macca's and i did have a med chips but i resisted a burger and drink and had a garden salad and water to go with it so i guess that's an accomplishment for me I also did a whole hour on the wii fit freestyle step plus and managed to do 6000 steps. I also did 2 sets of 12x lunges, bicep curls, squats etc and a few other bits with my 2kg weights which aren't feeling half as heavy as they used to.

Well feeling very good about myself today which is awesome as generally i am a bit hard on myself but i went and had a Brazilian, Full Leg and Eyebrow wax then had my hair coloured so i feel like a brand new woman. Also my clothes are feeling better on. They are by no way too big but my love handles/muffin top isn't as obvious and i am generally just feeling more comfortable in them. I wonder if DH will notice the change in me when he comes home Fri. I think i will be a little disheartened if he doesn't. On the phone last night though he asked me if I'd broke 70kg which was my mini goal b4 he came home and i said i hadn't weighed in yet. He then said "oh well you'll still look big to me anyway as all the vietnamese girls are tiny" I mean WTF I know he didn't mean it nastily but still to say that to me when he knows how hard i am trying is really horrible. Needless to say i went to bed feeling a bit sorry for myself.

Is everyone who is not posting still doing the challenge? I know Daintree and HP's mum have left BB but where is everyone else?

Hoody, I'm here! You are doing sooo great, good job! Adn the point of eating healthily is to make it a life change, so if going to maccas is a part of your life, then you need to figure out a way to healthliy incorporate that into your routine. By getting a med chips and a salad, that's a healthy way to have time out at maccas!

I have had another bad day and am feeling pretty crappy!
I just can't seem to get back on the horse! I did exercise though, a 45min walk to the shops lugging 7.5kg DS in the ergo, then I cleaned our balcony which hasn't been cleaned in about 2yrs! I scrubbed it with the broom and detergent as well as the 2 big double door sliding doors we have going out to the balcony. It was FILTHY! But not anymore That was really good exercise too! But I really need to get back to eating healthily. An not just for me but for DD to, when I eat badly she wants the same foods I eat which is so not good when I'm eating maccas or chocolate. But when I eat healthy foods she wants those, so I have to get back to it! I seem to have replaced healthy eating with exercise and can't seem to coordinate the two!

Lilias- It is SOO hard to find a balance which is why i have had SO many slip ups this week. Maybe if you concentrate on just one time of the day to get right first with regards to eating. Sounds silly but i always aim to start well. Eg a healthy breakfast and fruit for morning tea. I generally have more will power in the mornings, then when i crave the naughty stuff later i think well i've done so well so far resisting the temptations (like my biscuits or cake for Morning tea) i dont want to ruin it now and although some times i do slip i often dont iykwim.

    bah just lost my post!

Hoody I'm here too! Been craving chocolate ALL day. Luckily there is none in the house. I'm having withdrawal symptoms and feeling a bit grumpy. Got a bottle of water to sip on and a honey sandwich. Did no exercise today other than housework which consisted of making beds, washing and vacuuming floors and washing the green bins.

I wish these random questions would go away!

    I'm still here.

Trying really hard to knock a few more kilos off and just can't seem to budge them. I know that you're not supposed to get on the scales every day, but just can't seem to avoid them.

I've now added about three extra blocks to my walk pattern, and did that this morning in half an hour, so looks like I need to add more distance. I was doing my old walk in about 20-25 minutes, so I guess that's an improvement.

I've also managed to turn Wii-Fit The Chase into being able to buy one, although it was the last one in the shop on Saturday (they only got them in on Friday). So I've been on that a few times, just finding/making the time will be hard. I was using it last night until DS1 kicked me out of his bedroom to go to sleep. (It's where the Wii's set up). But I got about half an hour in before then, so that wasn't bad. Tonight I have a meeting, so any chance of any form of exercise will be out. By the time I finish work at 5.30, organise dinner and drive to the meeting to start by 7pm and who knows how long it will go for, sometimes they don't finish until 9.30, then home to bed to start work again at 6.30 tomorrow. I'll have to try and fit my walk in before work tomorrow.

I'm trying to eat better, I still cave in a little but I'm so proud of me at the moment. DH bought a cake to go in his lunches, so I cut a piece off, wrap it up and pack it for him, and I've done so well, and haven't had any myself. I thought about it last night when making his lunch, but I was also getting his fruit ready, so popped a piece of fruit in my mouth instead. Was so tempted to put the jug on and have a slice with a cuppa.

I hope that you all have a great day. I'm just finishing tidying up before starting work this morning.
