I've had a loss too this week. Very surprising as they scales through the week were showing gains.

When I used to go to my dietician, he put me on a maximum of 4 alcoholic drinks a week. I've tried to stick to this maximum, and usually have 2 on a friday night (when we usually go out) and one or two through the week. If there is something big on, I sometimes have one or two more, but not often. Some weeks, I'll only have the friday night drinks. With this and the rest of the low GI diet I am still losing weight...... just something to think about............

amysarah - you're going so well on the exercise, you probably have built up muscle. I wish I could find the time to add more exercise in.

I only did my short (original) walk this morning, I was short on time and thought something is better then nothing. I'll be able to have a go on the wii-fit tonight, so that should make up for it, although my thigh muscles are really hurting from sunday nights go.

All the best with your weigh ins. Remember it's your own personal journey, so everyone's results will be different.

I still haven't measured at all yet!

Can someone please clarify (or point me in the right direction) as to which parts of my body to measure?

I should have started measuring a month ago but I will do my official measurements tonight and then compare next week. I do feel thinner, well LEANER, than I did a month ago so I think I am gaining muscle which is good! This week I am going to be incredibly strict on my diet and vigorous in my exercise - no more leisurely walks!! I am still as determined as ever.

I don't know how much I lost this week (coz I didn't weigh last week) but since the challenge started (NY day) I've lost 1.5kg. I know a lot of you have lost more than than since we started, but I'm just happy with a loss!

my dh's friend came over on monday and he said to dh (and later to me) that I have lost a lot of weight! thats good to hear! but I can't remember last time we saw him.

Whe I discovered that I'd lost the 1.5kg total, I treated myself to homecooked fish and chips. All oven cooked. But I did have too many chips, and had 5 salt and pepper squid.

Went for a 45 mins walk yesterday (was aiming for 1hr but it didn't end out that way). I'm going (hopefully) for a longer walk today, depending on what time ds wakes up.

Those of you who exersize (or walk in my case) in the morning, do you have any issues at night? I walk in the morning, around 8:30am, but then at night I have restless legs and a sore back in the evening and I find it hard to relax when I go to bed. anyone else?

Hooray, everyone is going so well!
I have had a slight loss this week, not too much but I feel a lot more toned so maybe it's just muscle (I hope )
I'm having problems with my measurements though. According to the dreaded tape measure I haven't lost any cm's but my clothes are looser and I feel slimmer
Is anyone else having this problem?

Thankyou for all of the support girls

Well, as I suspected, I have ahd a gain, only 200g but imagine if I had have controlled my eating more...I would have lost at least a kg! I haven't measured myself yet, so I don't know if I've lost cm's wouldn't be surprised if I haven't though. Oh well, back to it today!

Congratulations to those of you who have had losses in cm's and weight! Good job!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I hate my body so much, I have been working so hard at my PT sessions, changing my eating habits and generally being good, and even though we had a couple of days away and I wasnt as careful with what I ate, i got on the scales this morning and in the space of the 3 days (naughty I know) since I weighed myself before we went away- I have gained 2.5 kg I am so disapointed. I have a feeling alot of it is fluid retention because I am due to O in the next day or so, but even so it is so disheartening to get on the scales and see the numbers HIGHER than when I started this challenge.
The good thing is though, instead of sending me on an eating binge it has made me more determined to get right back into it. I want this so badly, I just need my body to get the memo that it is weight loss time. I have now been hovering around the same weight for 12 months (within a couple of kgs either way) since DS was born, so I need to get my body back into weight loss mode.

Well I've gained weight but lost some cm's, so I'm pretty happy considering my eating hasn't been the best.

Ali, That sucks that you gained, but you've been doing so well with the exercise you must have put on a bit of muscle. And the best thing about that is muscle burns more energy than fat, so you'll probably start dropping the kg's very soon. How did you go on cm's?

Ambar, with the cm's not lost, I hardly lost any the first couple of weeks, but lost some this week. I think it's because I was losing from places we weren't measuring, like thighs and arms. Possible your doing the same thing.

Amysarah, I measure bust at the nipple line, waist at the belly button and hips at the biggest part of my bottom, for my my c/s line.

    Well done to everyone!

Well done everyone Even with a gain or no loss you know you have been living a healthier lifestyle and at the end of the day that is what is important.

    Amysarah i love you deterination.

Well as for me i only lost 0.3kg so a huge drop off from the last few weeks BUT its also been the worst week regarding food and exercise too. I lost 4.5cm though so not all bad i guess.

Keep it up everyone we are all doing SOOO WELLL and deserve to be proud of our results
