All I know is that he works for FIA (fitness institute Australia)

You need muscle to burn calories, the more muscle you have the more calories you burn while doing nothing.. sitting etc.

So you want fitness and weightloss,

So by doing a total body workout which is,

    Warm Up
    Cadio
    Strength training
    Cool Down
    Stretching

Either way you want to be stronger, fitter and leaner.. Which is getting your heart pumping to burn calories.

Morning ladies. Feeling really sore today after yesterdays boot camp. I can't wait until my muscles get kind of used to the exercise so I don't wake in pain the day after. Yesterday I was reasonably healthy. The only thing I wish I didn't eat was for lunch yesterday and it was leftovers from the night before but it had rice with it. Never mind it is all gone now. I am going out with my Mum today and we usually have lunch at a cafe while we are out so I will try and pick the healthiest meal on the menu and I will make my latte a skinny one

Better get going and have a shower before the twinnies get out of bed. Have a great day!

Don't forget to drink your water today!!

    Good morning weightloss buddies,

Last night, i got my lazy a*se to the gym for another gruesome workout.

    Warm up for 5 mins
    Jogged for 20 minutes
    Tricep dips x 40
    Bench press x 40
    Jog for 3 mins
    Bicep curl x 40
    push up x 30
    Jog for 3 mins
    Lat pull down x 40
    Situp x 60
    Jog for 3 mins
    Medicine ball twists x 80
    Bridge x 1 mins
    Jog for 3 mins
    cool down x 5
    stretch

I was knackered but felt good. Burned 370 calories from just the cardio. I had a diet yoghurt and an apple for dinner. Overall had a good diet and excercise day. I'm really afraid that the chocolate demons will come calling soon and will cave into my craving for sweets.

I'm really afraid of eating out. I don't know how much fat or calories there an in the food and might over indulge

Well done Turkish Delight and EVERYONE who has been working out and eating well! btw Turkish Delight did the mods pay you to have that name for 'temptation' for the rest of us?

I have a gym at home with weights, pec deck, bench etc and a treadmill and a fit ball etc AND I only work 26 hours a week with no kids (ttc # 1) SO there are NO excuses for me!!!! So this is what I should look like doing star jumps and this is what I should look like doing sprints from one end of the house to the other

Hey Cherished, i wish i could be so happy jogging on the treadmill like that, but its more like . I feel like i'm going to suffer a heart attack towards the end of the 20mins jog. Tonight's workout is even harder, which mind you i am not looking forward to. I walk at a 12% incline for 25 mins. I keep reminding myself about all the calories i will be burning.

What i wouldn't give for a piece of pistachio packed Turkish Delight right now!

YAY cherished! Cycle buddies & fitness buddies haha. Good to see you came over! lol at your little emoticons, as you know im ttc #1 too so no excuses for me either except for when we have DSD even then she can ride her scooter whilst i walk or something hehe

didspunk must be awesome to have someone with so much knowledge and experience give you advice!

good job on the bootcamp ktgirl you know its doing something when you can feel it, thats how i think of it anyway hehe

Wow turkish good on you thats a HUGE work out well maybe for me it would be hehe. Keep it up!! Its hard when you dine out IMO but i just stick with the items i know best really, i guess knowledge is power when it comes to dining out. Im happy to walk on the treadmil for hours, (brisk walking not just strolling hehe) i just forget what im doing really haha but the dogs need walking so put the treadmil to rest and get them puppies out they keep me walking faster coz they just wanna run haha.

I think ive been told/taught the same as you cookie re heart rate and weighloss; whatever works for me ill do hehe

Tinkerbell if you go to calorie king and search exercise types they even have how many calories you burn cleaning the house and doing gardening etc, i love it, haha. Huge effort to be on your feet for that long tho! Have fun with your work outs this morning!

AFM played netball last night which is pretty much 30 minutes of non stop running haha, we lost but i dont care, got together with the girls, got a work out, win or lose im happy hehe. DP asked if i wanted to walk the dogs tonight and before he finished his sentence i was like YES! Haha gotta be a good sign being so keen. I think im doing ok food wise, eating lots of fruits. My main killer is bread i think, love the stuff anywho back to work for me. Keep up the good work ladies!

Bought scales and tape measure yesterday - pm'd stats this morning as didn't get the setup till last night and as will be checking stats in mornings not arvo thought had better do the same or I will have an 'extra' loss this week since always heavier in evenings - prob all that water!!! told DH I'm doing a challenge with my net buddies and he said he would do it too - he seemed to think he was pregnant too with his weight gain me thinks.

Don't know how I'm gonna go excercising today - am absolutely exhausted, 5 hrs sleep last night, think DD's starting to teethe, she was very oddly unsettled. Ah well, onwards and upwards. Gonna make a big pot of vegie soup today - (not that vile veggie soup from the veggie soup diet - vomit) I hate eating salad in cold weather so figure this will be good.

Great info on the heart-rate's by the way - DH has one of those monitors like they all wear on the biggest loser for the same reason so will strap it to my chest and make sure heartrate is "in the zone".

I've purchased a heart rate monitor some months back and tried a little test on DH.

I strapped the monitor on to him and then at an unexpected moment, flashed him my boobies and his heart rate went up enormously.

    I thought it was funny!

    Isabel

I agree that cabbage soup is vile. Looks like something the dogs threw up.

how funny is your heart rate monitor test Turkish! I can also add a heart rate monitor to my list of tools? They are great if anyone is thinking of getting one?

Another thing I have is some kick ass scales which is actually a body composition monitor, it tells you what % of each limb and abdomen is fat, muscle and fluid and it tells you what your bodies age is based on your metabolic rate? I am 31 and it tells me I am 45!!! It also tells you stuff like bone density, mineral level and other stuff like What type of obesity you have, it sound strange but an example of this is some men who actually have a very small frame (bones/skeleton) and have got far too much muscle on them so they are classed as not being of optimal health iykwim. ANYWAY I have had this great BCM for 18 months and have not changed my body SO I?m looking forward to this kick in the bum

Isabel B I don't think it's too late... you have untill Tuesday to get your measurments to Trillian I think... Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Your benchmark measurements should be in ASAP. Next Tuesday morning is when you send your first losses. At least this is my understanding.
So Isabel, Weight, Bust-Waist-Hips Measurements to Trillian (sherie @ bellybelly ....) ASAP

I forgot how much I enjoy eating healthy food. It is just so hard to stop eating the junk / I hate how expensive healthy food is. Fruit makes my jaw drop these days & Cereal, It's ridiculous!!

I've been having All Bran for breakfast and it's soo hard to finish that bowl (havent eaten much of breakfast since high school) But its the one meal i can portion control perfectly so i need to do it, besides my body is already adjusting to it as i am hungry again longer after breakfast each day.
Bought lots of fruit (apples, kiwis, oranges, bananas) last night and will try up my fruit intake again. Can't say im much of a fruit person in the non-summer seasons but I used to love my grannysmiths so hopefully my tastebuds will learnto love them again.

Been having Turkey and Salad sandwiches for lunch, and on Burgen Soylin bread. Sooo good and the burgen bread makes it all more filling. Then I have vitaweats and some rice cakes, bought some lite phily and have found the vitaweets a really easy and tasty snack, even just on their own.

Uh oh, little one has all of a sudden gone quiet better do a bum change and nap time methinks.

Oh. this water drinking thing is hard this time around. Too cold for chilled water
