BW - I know what you mean about eating sensibly as being enough when you don't exercise. I lost a lot of weight a few years ago by restricting my intake and not exercising at all. I was pretty motivated!!!
BC - Hi!! With the left over Christmas food - can you give it away? Or have friends over to help you eat it? We are giving some of ours away (DP is taking biscuits to work for morning teas etc) and we have a friend staying atm who will hopefully eat the nibbly cheeses and dips that are still hanging around.
Krysalyss - I have mixed feelings about the new year. It's great because I'm on this healthy/weight loss track now but I have to go back to work in a couple of monthsFeels more real now that we're in 2010 iykwim? How did your jog to work go?
Belfie - Only 2 squares of choc a day? I'm impressed!! I was eating much more than thatand using bfeeding as my cover/permission slip! Someone else suggested to me to drink a hot choc when you have a craving. Some of them are low cal and might hit the spot. I am on the Wii as well - doing Fitness First routines and Wii Fit plus too! It's so much fun.
Nai - It won't take you long to get back on track. I'm sure you haven't put on as much as you think and it will be gone in no time if you're doing classes like Pump. Did you get to the gym today? Win lotto?
Georgi - How was the beach? I love the beach but live hours inlandbut we're going for a holiday in Feb which will be unreal.
leesa -to leaving the 70's behind!!
ktgirl - Hi!to dropping 10kg last year.
Mr. Squid -I was just wondering where you'd gotten to when I opened this thread. Good to see you back and feeling better.
Ali -for your 10kg loss too darl. You can definitely do 20kg this year.
Nettie - Not eating after 8pm is a great idea. Think I might steal it for one of my goals.
AFM - good and bad news. Good news is that this is day three without chocolate and already the cravings are much reduced and I have been eating much better overall (making healthier choices) without having the choc during the day. Bad news is that I don't seem to have lost any weight yet. I got myself all confused cause I was weighing on my scales, and the Wii (various programs) and had so many numbers in my head (Wii told me I was losing weight, then gaining, then losing) and Af caused an increase I think last week so I've just gone back to what I started on before Christmas. Oh well. My muscles are telling me that the exercise is having an impact. Perhaps if I go longer without the chocolate I'll see a difference in another weekGoing to make Sunday my weigh day and ignore the Wii altogether.

- good on you for such a great loss in the past you can do it hun, i havent heard of heel spurs before it sounds really painful what about swimming though? i need to start making sure i drink 2l too i find i go for the suuaet drinks as an energy boost so i need to get out of the habit

so no personal trainer for me just yet.
.

so ashamed that I have let myself do that over xmas. I have thought again about what I want my goal weight to be and have now got 11.9kg to lose. I have done a new ticker so everyone can see it, I am hoping by doing that and also posting in here it keeps me accountable.
) and also did some situps, pushups and tricep dips. Got my day of food planned out so I know what I am going to eat. For brekkie it will be a small bowl of muesli with low fat milk.
).
to all those who gained a little over Christmas. It won't be there for long though!!
), quite the gym junkie... I feel that surely my old fit self is still in there somewhere. Sadly I can't even bring myself to go swimming, cos I don't want to run into all my triathlon buddies there. But I know rather than beating myself up, I'm better off just using it for motivation... if I imagine I'm a fit, disciplined athlete, then I am more likely to eat & exercise like one
pray they will shift soon for you.
