Cookiemonster- Thanks for emailing through the spreadsheet i made a couple of changes such as putting in the date etc as well as week no. etc. I suck at using excel so you did all the hard work for me. I also printed it out at full page scale and have stuck it on my fridge for the world to see. I have filled in my measurments etc and am embarassed to have them known to anyone who enters my kitchen but hey its motivating to get the figures down so others can see my progress too iykwim.

Wii fit users- I got one for Chrissy and love it but just wondering do you personally use it daily and what sort of "workout" do you do on it. So far i have only really "played around on it". Just after some tips etc on how to get the most out of it.

Well my Wii and the Wii Fit have been sitting in their boxes since Christmas, and they came out tonight. I must say that I am very impressed.

DH and I programmed in our stats and goals and didn't password protect them so that we could be accountable to each other.

I'm very excited about this. This is it! The year to get back in shape.

Just PM'd my humiliating, depressing and shameful details... But i guess its good i took the 1st step...

My goals are simple to start with:

Eat more healthily...when i put big restrictions on myself i know they dont last so i'll just say cut down on junk food instead of cut out...

Drink more water and less soft drink

Buy and cook healthier meals... (i do the shopping so its my fault there is junk here to eat)

Excercise more... which may inevitably mean less BB time... Oh NO... lol.... how will i survive...

I need to loose alot of weight which will take time so my goal is to go slow and steady. I need to form new habbits like fitting in regular excercise.

    Good luck to everyone...

    Girls,

First of all, thank you for "baring all" by sending in your stats and posting your goals.

I am exicted about sharing this journey with you all.

I have a lot of stuff on today: park dates, lunch dates and then a hot date with my beautiful husband tonight.

SO, I will enter in all stats and ticker codes later on, by 7.30pm.

Then I will open up the Body Transformation Week 1 thread and you can chat to your hearts content. If I am not back on for a day or two, forgive me!

Just eat healthily, drink lots of water, get moving, and visualise your new healthy selves!

I would love to... but no one near me is similar fitness or body issues... maybe I will find someone through this and we can have a healthy competition online!

    Me too.

You need to get yourself a training buddy. Someone of similar fitness to train intervals with! Soemone who will crack the ****es if you don't turn up!

    Hoody,

If we are similar then it is a date! I don't think we need to be exactly the same... it just helps if we are similar so I am not competing against a really skinny minnie. I go to my local Fitness First gym at least three times a week normally (haven't been since beginning of December).

These are my stats and goals from an earlier post

    Stats:
    Current Weight 88kg
    Bust 101cm
    Waist 103cm
    Hips 115cm
History: PCOS, pre-diabetic on Metformin for insulin resistance

    My goals are:
*To get to 85kg by mid January if not sooner and then take it in 5kg increments (or decrements ha ha) until I reach 70kg... optimal for my height and age is 55-65kg but I really can't see that at the moment so will be more than happy with 70-75kg.
*To eat better so that when I go back to Uni (end Feb 2009) I have already formed good eating habits
*To stop procrasting and just do it (do you think Nike would sponsor me!!)
*To really do workouts when not with personal trainer rather than just walking on treadmill and convincing myself it is just as good

I'm hearing you Feeb. My downfall is chocolate and I hate salad and eat very few fruit and veg too. I wish I loved salad because then I could just eat lots to fill up on.
We'll get there matie. I've lost 30 kilo's before without having to live on salad - I can do it again

Hoody - with the Wii Fit, I tend to get on and do some of the yoga stretches and then I love the boxing and the skiing ones. I haven't been on it in ages though

One of my goals is to do 10,000 steps per day and I can achieve this through incidental exercise plus going for daily walks of a minimum of 45 minutes. I go to a Pilates class every Tuesday night. I'll have to work out a weights plan. I've got some hand weights at home so might dust those off.

I will drink 2.5 litres of water a day.
I will allow myself a food free day once a week, so I can enjoy some chocolate or some soft drink or a dinner party etc. I'm going to be flexible with the day and not lock myself into one particular day to have free stuff. I want it to be flexible so I can work it around family gatherings, summer bbqs with friends, etc if that makes sense.

At the moment I have tonsillitis feel crap but have lost my appetite for all the bad stuff but don't really feel like exercising at all so hopefully when it cools down this evening I might get out for a gentle walk, get some fresh air.

    Hi everyone,

I've just come across this thread and so think it would be fantastic if its not too late? Taking a few months off ttc so thats perfect timing. I've found my measuring tape and off to buy scales. We got a Wii for xmas so will be doing alot of that and have already been eating healthy eating salad and veges at least once a day so will send my huge-mongous measurements and weight soon as i get back.

    tk1999- My stats are
    weight- 74kg
    bust- 92cm
    waist- 84cm
    hips- 108cm
history- non really pre pg weight was 58kg
To be at my optimal weight i need to get to 66kg but i was 58kg (and a healthy size 10) b4 been pg and would like to get down to 64kg now. I am aiming to lose 3kg by 24th of Jan as my DH is going away and this is his return date. Then by march 4th (my 26th b'day) and week 9 of the challenge i would like to be down to at least 68kg making the weight loss of 6kg since starting which i think is realistic and very achievable in 9 wks iykwim. I have had the money in my purse for the last 3 wks to join the gym so will do that this week then aim to go to 3 classes a week. For me finding the time to exercise is the hurdle as with a 1 and 2 yo i have very little time to myself. I have a massive sweet tooth and think i will really struggle with the healthy eating.

I see that your 1st mini goal is to lose 3kg by mid Jan? Mine is to lose at least that by Jan 24. Maybe this could be our 1st lil competition etc where we can support each other. if you like we could PM-email each other daily with a run down of our day such as exercise and eating habits etc so if we fall off the band wagon we can give each other kicks up the bum etc. Let me know what you think.

K well we arent doing much for NYE so we are having a wii night lol i figure its better than sitting around eating and drinking. I am going to do a fridge and cupboard clean out this arvo and then a healthy food shop with no soft drink- my biggest downfall. How will i cope lol

Hoody, with the soft drink, try replacing it with soda/sparkling water (ie fizzy water). I've done this before and it worked really well. I was used to having a fizzy drink with dinner, so I switched to soda/sparkling water and then eventually just regular water.

Schaz, you are kidding me lovely girl? You should be SO PROUD of what you have done for yourself over the past year. You know better than anyone to not get too hung up on the measurements: they are only a guide. Have you treated yourself well? Have your nurtured yourself? Are you a goddess? Are you freeing yourself from old bad habits? Are you healthier and happier?

Schaz, you are a beautiful inspiration to me, so don't go beating yourself up.......xx
