NYBTC Food & Diet Chatter Week #2

I was going alright... and then I went to the shops and had a spinach cheese roll and a custard profiterole lol.. Oooops!

My diet is not going great this week. My gastro finally left and AF arrived. Consequently after the gastro left nothing I'm so bloated, you'd never know I lost any weight.

Great idea Tracey with the water. I'm like you it's a habit. After my kidneys didn't do so well with pregnancy I've had to be aware or pay.

Kaz naughty girl! but you do become obsessed don't you.

Tracy that is a fabo idea with the water. I do something similar though I try and drink out of bottles. I find it easy to drink out of say a pump 750mls. So I try to get through one by lunch and one by the end of the night. When I was doing that I was also having 600mls of water with a berocca in the morning. I might have to go back to doing that again!

Well over 2l of water

And will probably have some sort of snack before bed even though you're not meant to snack this late at night... I am finding that habit really hard to break!

we eat our dinner quite late, which has always annoyed me, but its just the way it works out.... anyways it stops me snacking, as if i eat at 8pm thats it for the night.... although i know its not good to eat that late, at least it means i don't eat anything extra, plus we've just been having light meals and salads, so i guess its not as bad as eating a big heavy meal late at night.

is anyone counting their calories/kilojoules?? i have stumbled across a pretty cool site that lets you set up a free profile, and basically it tells you how many calories (energy) you should be consuming a day in order to reach your weight loss goals, and basically you record everything you are eating, and also any exercise you are doing and it shows your deficit of energy consumed compared to energy burned... i was recording my eating and exercise on an excel spreadsheet so i could keep track, but this program calculates it all for you, and also breaks down your diet and shows you what percentage of protein, carbs, fats etc you are consuming and gives your diet a nutritional rating...

ok it is a little tricky finding the foods to record, as it is american, but once you have found a similar food (ie i had 97% fat free ham, so i found an american brand which was 96% fat free and used that one), you 'tag' the food and it saves it so you can easily find it next time you have that same meal. im sort of eating a lot of foods over and over, so for me its not too bad as i dont have to keep searching for foods to add...

anyways sorry ive wrambled, i just thought id mention it, as ive never seen anything like it, and potentially once u get the hang of it and work out how to find the most similar foods to what u are eating, i think it could be a really, really good tool in tracking your progress etc.

if you google calorie count plus you will find it. im hooked.

OK my cake is gone - thank goodness!! I am NOT going to make another cake for a while now. I actually feel a little sick from it

Not much on the exercise front today.. 10mins slow walk followed by a 15min jog. I did do all the house work today tho!!

2 hour - 12km walk to SILs - then got DH to drive me home LOL

Hi everyone.

I have almost made it through a week of ww online,and so far so good. Have lost almost another kilo, and thats with AF arriving this morning. Hope next week is even better.

Well I am off to make honey mustard chicken and rice for tea... yummo.
