    Hey everyone!!

Looks like I'm the first to write on this new thread!

Mumof5 - I double checked on the forum rules and it says that this thread

I would have thought that this referred to you??? If not, I'm really sad that you have to go...

Great to hear from you again - I'm sorry that you got a BFN. Hope you stay and feel comfortable writing here as I'd love to hear things from your perspective. Fingers crossed for you for your next cycle.

    Lissie and Lulu

What a difference a day makes!! I set an assignment two weeks ago for my year 7class, thinking that no-one would bother doing it (it was to be done in their own time and they had to develop their own Reality TV program, they whinged like crazy etc). But low and behold - I've seen 2 groups already, one was pretty good and one was absolutely brilliant! I'm so stoked - really changed my attitude to my job and to this class! I thought they hated being there - but they have completely shocked me!!

DH has also nicely deflected IL's nastiness, which is great.

Lissie - glad the levels are ok - fingers crossed for you.

Lulu - how goes the bloating??

Venus - how are you doing at the moment?

Hey to everyone else - hope you are all travelling well...

    Evening all,

Thanks Lissie...but alas...I am almost 42..one sad month to go. I guess all the clinics have their own opinions...just all too confusing. What I can tell you is that my cousin got eggies and pregnant at 45yrs...so we've got years yet...WE ARE GOING TO GET THERE!!

Gargy - you are right..one day does a lot. You sound completely different today. I am so glad. See - the kids love you..they just like to hide the love.

Claire - I must have missed your first post..so sorry. Welcome and fingers crossed for you..The embies sound great..good luck..will be thinking of you.

Em - I am so sorry to see you go..but if Gargy is right..I think we have a case here. Please please let us know how you do if you dont want to come back..Good luck sweet.

So me - so far so good. Day 5 today and bloods were good. Start 2nd needle tonight..yup that makes 3 today including bloodtest. Thursday next bloods and first scan. Bloating just starting a little - so not too much of a problem - yet.

    Girls,
Lulu - i so admire you doing back to back cycles -but you sound so strong in attitude i just know you will get that little bundle soon. Good luck with this cycle Lulu - oh the bloating - just hate that part but i guess you have to take the good with the bad. I am nearly 43 (in Nov) Yikes! Never saw it coming the years just creep up on you and all of sudden your in your 40's but still feel im 30! lol.
Gargy - you sound so upbeat - thats wonderful - and i agree with Lulu the kids must love you and your class otherwise they wouldn't be doing so well. You sound like a great teacher.
Claire - way to go - two embies on board - sending you
    Venus - how are you?
Me - getting more excited every day with the prospect of receiving these embies - i have such a strong feeling of calm and that all will work out. You can't wipe the smile off my face at the moment, donors are truly wonderful people to give to others.
Anyway hope you all have a great day girls.

    HI girls,
Thanks for making me welcome. Hope you are all doin ok.
Am having huge range of emotions with this transfer, one minute I'm on a huge high and super excited and can't wait to get my final blood test, the next I'm tired, emotional, grumpy as hell and wondering if i'm ready to be pregnant again....does that sound totally selfish? I am so loving being with my daughter and the amazing bond that we have and i'm afraid that having another baby will change that or make her feel less special to me.
I have been given this incredible chance to have another baby and I'm scared and I don't know why?
God I'm sure these progesterone hormones are messing with my head.
Hugs and love to you all,
    Claire

    Claire,

You poor sweetie - the hormones do mess you up in every way, i don't think another baby will mess anything up it will just make your life more full. Don't be too hard on yourself its the medication making you feel this way, it will all be okay. Take care of yourself and trust your heart in what you are doing and wishing you only a positive outcome for this cycle.

    Gargy,

    just to clarify,

yes, this forum is for those who are considering donating, and while I am aware that mumof5 initially posted in this thread for the purpose of gathering information on donating any remaining embryos she had as a result of this cycle, I encouraged her to post about updates on her current (non-donor) cycle in the LTTTC threads and not here. There is no reason she cannot post about donor issues and/or gather information in this thread regarding donation, it's just general cycle news that I was referring to.

While some threads have some crossover, we do try to keep the threads subject-specific so that it's relevant not only to the existing members, but also to those who are visiting for the first time. I also asked her to contact me with any feedback or if she wished to discuss the matter with me further and I extend that invitation to anyone here as well. I can be reached at sushee@bellybelly.com.au. And no, not just about this issue, but any issue pertaining to LTTTC, Donor issues, or AC.

    Take care ladies,
    sushee

    Hi Lissie,

Thanks so much for the support am feeling soooooo much better today and keeping everything crossed for positive result I know my daughter would love a brother or sister and would be an amazing help to her mummy. I think I am just stressing out way too much and over analysing which I am prone to!
    Am having no symptoms whatsoever......

When do you start with your DEs?

    Hi Sushee,

Thanks for the clarification - I know that there have been a few issues with other threads about what they could and could not post. I suppose we will see mumof5 again when she is ready to donate.

    Hey Claire,

Hope the emotional rollercoaster is settling down for you. Fingers crossed that everything goes well.

    Hey Lissie,

When do you find out about the embies??

    Hey Lulu,

Is the scan tomorrow or next week?

Me - well I'm just filling in time until the next WW meeting - hope it goes ok. I actually got on the treadmill for two nights!! Here's hoping I can keep it up. Next counsellor session for me only is on Thursday. Sent an email to our SD - he seems to be doing ok. Looking forward to going away with DH on the weekend. Talk soon!!

MO5, four embryos would be excellent! If you are looking at donating in a new cycle, you can also look at egg donation. Definately speak to your clinic about it.

    Mum05,

Four embies is wonderful. I know from a recipients point of view that receiving embies is a wonderful gift and you will make someone very happy with your generousity. Good luck with it all - hope it all works out for you. When i found out i was receiving embies i was over the moon and now just can't wait for their arrival.

    Hi Peeps, how's everyone doing?

MO5 4 blasties is FANTASTIC and a huge gift to give to someone TTC!
We had 4 eggs donated to us 2 of which turned into DD and the other 2 are currently on board after FET....so you are giving someone and awesome chance!

Gargy hope you have a wonderful weekend....relax babe

Lissie when do you expect to do your transfer? How brilliant to have 4 embies

I am now day 6 post transfer, been alternating daily between feeling preggers and not LOL I have been having a few episodes!!!! in the afternoons, feel very dizzy and a bit faint.Am wondering if it's progesterone pessaries...am on 2 x3 times a day and have just had call from clinic to increase to 3 they are very hard work. Does anyone else have any experience of these damn things? The nurse told me I should not have any side effects! Now I feel stupid.....why do they make you feel like that? POWER TRIPPERS!

    Hugs to you all.xx

    Hey everyone,

Mumof5 - brilliant level of embies to donate - have you decided what to do yet?

    Hey Lissie - how's things?

    How are you Lulu?

    Hey Sushee!!

Hee, hee Claire - don't think I've been referred to as a 'Peep' before!! Where are you up to at the moment?

As for me - weekend away was a bit mixed. The mood started in the last 5 minutes of the counselling session when I became incredibly angry about DH's family. The counsellor gave me some exercises to do - but all I've got up to so far is writing about how angry I am and why (and that took 3 hours!) I haven't had time to put it into context.

Then when I met up with my family the vibe was weird. When we went to the Trivia Night on Friday night a guy was begging and chased after my brother to demand money from him. I was right behind, on the mobile, and my DH says that he could see me bristle as I walked faster to confront this guy that was chasing my brother. However I didn't have to as the guy saw how big my two brothers are, as well as my DH, and backed off.

On the Saturday I didn't realise that golf started so early, and they needed to instruct them on microphones. So we went to the second family event tired. My sister was late and everyone, including me, was concerned about this, not realising she had already called and said she would be late. Finally my dad has just retired and there is a big meeting in the middle of this monthabout what's going to happen with my Nan , which is causing a bit of stress.

So, not really a good weekend for DH and I. Next time we go away on our own with no family functions on at the same time.

Nothing much to report on the baby front - still just waiting, waiting...

    Hi All,

Firstly - Clairebear - OMG - congrats!!! I saw your good news flashing on your last entry. Great news you lucky girl. I am thrilled for you!!!

Lissie - when do you get the embies? Am so excited...when when when??

Gargy - hmmm sounds like another stressed out weekend - you need to relax more woman..

I've been laying low for a while going thru all the needles etc again.

So the outcome is: 5 eggs, 4 fertilised, I had 2 transferred on Friday and thankfully the other 2 were good enough for freezing. So I guess I am once again on the dreaded TWW. I was really uncomfortable after the egg collection for the first time. This lasted about 3 days and got terribly terribly bloated - all different for me. Anyway, they did tell me that the FS really had to go digging as my ovaries (and I knew this) are always difficult to find.

I have always done pessaries after egg collection but since they have changed the protocol to 2 pessaries a day - meaning going back to bed for 30mins in the morning and again at bedtime, I chose to do 2 times needles. These ones you actually have to mix the power and saline before 'shooting up'. Man did it hurt. It's now red and really really tender from last night - much much worse then the flu shot. Am dreading the next - have to do 3 in total 3 days apart.

So...wish me luck ladies...I really need it..

    Girls,

Clairebear - OMG - This is fantastic - congratulations am so here to a happy and healthy nine months - snuggle in there little one.

Lulu - You did great - 2 transferred and 2 little snow buds wating as well - wishing you only goodluck
Lulu - have everything crossed for you.

Gargy - Sorry to hear you had a stressful weekend - i know all about the waiting waiting waiting - it drives you nuts sometimes hey - hope life improves on the stress front soon.

Me - well conselling is out of the way now, have to do bloods but not concerned as have had so many blood tests its not funny. Now just have to wait for all the FS's to get back from their conference in Hobart so we can get the ball rolling. I would say (just guessing) that we should have the little embies at our clinic within the next month - then i start on the medication and then we transfer so not too long to go now and am getting extremely excited about it. Will keep you informed of the progress. Take care all and have a great day.

    Girls,
Well - all Dr's back from conference but to put it simply we are coming up with alot more hurdles to cross before our precious little embies come to us. The embies where ceated in Melbourne and we need them to come to Qld (Gold Coast) however Victoria has a special legislation that requires you to apply to the ITA for their transfer and they only meet once a month and not the same time every month, so now we need to wait for all the paperwork etc to be completed so we can apply then sit and wait to see if it is approved, and we may also need to do some more conselling. Bummed - anyway just have to wait a little longer - gee i am getting used to be patient but i am also impatient if that makes sense. So waiting, waiting , waiting now - will keep you informed.
    How is everyone else doing?
