My BMI is in the mid, probably high 30's? Bleeding was never mentioned to me at all?
My fs mentioned it and I have read it elsewhere. The anesthetic is also a risk.

When I went for my D&C, a doctor took me into a room and spent 10 minutes telling me I was basically going to bleed to death because I was overweight, only I might not be so lucky as to die and might end up a vegetable if I didn't let them give me a blood transfusion

    You're kidding?

As if you weren't already going through enough!

Gee I'm very over weight (as you know) and have never been told anything about being at more risk of bleeding

Sadly, not kidding TMS. It actually took my mind of it, it's the first time I'd ever had to actually defend that part of my beliefs

    N2L - Hahahahahaha, I love that theory!

My ob did several on me when I wanted to get pregnant, but wants me to lose weight before doing another- we think my endo is back - and we have finished having babies.

Keike - I would write out my questions about the lap and your reasons why so when you get in there you can't get sidetracked ITMS?? You have all the info and know your body better than anyone else so it is more than reasonable to ask the question! I would also be asking him his reasoning for why not, then trying to get a game plan in place. TBH I would want any sizeable lumps to be completely identified (but I am a panic merchant, lol) and assessed especially if they are painful and have been there for so long. When are you booked in to see the FS???

Surely the pain of it will be magic enough to make him look into things?
