It must be really scary to be worried about something you are not easily able to get answers to. I think you have some great advice here and I am glad it has helped ease your mind a bit before you manage to get in to see your GP.
I just wanted to reassure you about the comments your DD has been making. I certainly believe that sometimes kids can have incredible insight and maybe they can sense things we don't know about but I think there may be may other explanations for her comments. Maybe she is very sensitive and has picked up on how you are feeling and is verbalising it. Maybe she has heard you talk about death and is trying to make sense of it.
I don't know how old your DD is but my nearly 4 year old talks about death a bit! We have visited family graves in the past and I guess she has come across death in stories, I certainly don't shy away from the topic as I see it as a part of life and I have been amazed at how she can happily discuss what will happen when I die! She talks about how she will miss Nana if she dies and how Daddy will have to learn how to make sandwiches properly when I die. A number of times she has told me that she will visit me at "the Gravy" (graveyard) when I die. It has allowed us to explore lots of feelings and scenarios and I think it is a normal part of development for a child to make sense of things that are hard to comprehend to talk about them a lot, put them into play and revisit the theme in lots of different ways. I am sure this is what is going on with your DD rather than intuition. Don't be afraid to talk about it with her and address her concerns, but make sure you address your concerns too! It must be a terrible feeling to be worried about your health.
