I take inner health plus - 1 capsule per day. It was recommended by my chemist as I have issues with recurring thrush. It does help. Often if I can feel the thrush coming, I take an extra capsule for 2 or 3 days and it goes without further treatment.

apparently the best ones to take are biogenics SB floractiv.....apparently they contain a strain of good bacteria that is only available in this brand nd it is super dooper awesome.....you can google for more technical info. I take them on the advice of both my doctor and naturopath and they are THE only ones that have succesfully kicked my recurrent thrush that I have had since I got pregnant so there must be something good in them!

Mel that one sounds great! There are so many different probiotics though, perhaps that particular one is great for thrush? I just had a look at the 3 I have got and they all have something different in them. One is just a dairy free probiotic, another is to boost the immune system and another I had in the 3rd tri and 1st month or so after DS was born and that apparently significantly reduces the likely hood of babies having skin conditions such as eczema. I took it because I had eczema and really want to do everything I could to prevent DS having it. The active ingredient in that probiotic is Lactobacillus rhamnosus (LGG). So Shell like all things I guess you just need to ask your health provider what one is best for you depending on what you want it for.

Cherished - or other ladies which one did you use for during pg? My DD had ezxma and I would like to prevent it for the next one where possible. Also I know it would be good for my health.

The answer to that is in my previous post, you need Lactobacillus rhamnosus (LGG) My DS has beautiful skin, much to my relief and I battle eczema every day and had it really bad when i was born too, my mum couldn't even put nappies on my some times and she was using cloth too with wool covers.
