Unfortunately, I've just been diagnosed with GD, too. I can't get into see the diabetes specialist or the dietician until 13 September, so I've got a bit of a wait before they'll put my mind at rest.
I was hoping to get a few ideas etc off everyone here in the meantime.
It seems everyone has a different idea about pasta... I've read on most Low GI websites that pasta is good - but it appears some people still have an increase in their bsl from it. Is that right?? Or am I reading into things wrong?
Also, I've found out that my bsl was 8.8 after my 2nd GTT. Is that bad... or not too bad... or?? Just a bit confused.
I've started to eat a low fat/sugar diet but is there anything else I can be doing? I don't mind what effect this is having on me (for now)... I'm more worried about the bub.
