Becci, good luck, hope you can stay off the insulin.
TK, congrats on the birth of your little girl - there has been a bit of a freak out in the Sept 1-15th thread that someone due after us has already popped out a baby lol
Just to give you all a bit of hope - I had GD last pregnancy on about 120 units of insulin per day by the end of it. This time round, not a single sign
The only real difference between pregnancies was a little bit of weight that I lost. With DS I started out at 76kg (164cm tall), so bit chunky but not massive, this time round I started at 71kg. Not sure if that was the deciding factor but I am not complaining!
After the stress of managing every scrap of what I ate, insulin, induction etc it has been sooooo great to have a normal pregnancy - it is so nice to eat when I am hungry and I can even have dessert/junk food if I want.
Thanks fantastic Artechim, it's nice to hear it doesn't always happen. I've lost 8kg and plan to TTC fairly soon, so hopefully that will help. My GP told me that losing 5% of body weight can make a big difference
Becci - how are you going? GL for today, hope you don't need insulin.
Thank you all for your congratulations - I think my GD helped Caitlin to be of a good size when she was born early... lol I never thought I would be thankful for having GD!!
