Girls, I wish you the best of luck avoiding GD next time. I am sure the effort you are putting in with the weight loss will make a difference. I haven't come across anyone who was on as much insulin as I was, everyone assured me that I was guaranteed to get it the next time round and yet here I am.

I did make a couple of minor lifestyle changes - traded white bread for wholegrain, basmati rice, always mix kumera with potatoes but nothing major. I still eat heaps of junky food

I will keep my fingers crossed for you all as it makes such a huge difference to be GD free.

That's fantastic new Artechim! And Congrats on the pg!

Belfie - escaped insulin yet again!!!! Until Monday anyway. I did have 1 fasting at 5.6 but only just over, and two of my post meals were just over too, but one of them I ate two sandwiches (I was sooo hungry) and the other I tried spag bol with a slice of garlic bread, was obviously too much for me. So they were happy that there were reasons for my levels being over.
This time has been so much easier to keep under control than last time. I have found that I can have more carbs for brekky than I could last time, but lunch and dinner are about the same.
Have dr app tomorrow so will be asking about the chances for induction and if I need another scan to check sizing and fluid levels.
    GL TTC too.

Well guys thought I'd best post an update. Very quiet here though. Hope that means everyone is well.

Well I've had to go on insulin. Was only protophane at first but noe Novorapid with lunch and dinner too. I'm currently on 11 protophane and 4 Novorapid, but expecting that to go up as my levels still aren't low enough.

Also means that I will be being induced next week sometime. Either wednesday night or thrusday morning depending on mode of induction, will know for sure on friday.

    Progress report please ladies...

Who has had their bubba's, who is still waiting...
Last post from Becci was 22 days ago... so quiet which of course is great as that means no one having GD issues but no updates either...

    Hey there SnowChickie!
Been meaning to pop by for a while but life has been rather busy.
My levels didn't do too badly. Had to up the Novorapid to 6-8 units and the Protophane was fine as is.
I was routinely induced at 37+6 by having my watersbroken. Had to have the drip put in as my labor started then stopped. 2 hours and 50 minutes later Eli Graeme was born. Weighing only 7ln 13oz (nice size but yet again not a huge GD bub).
My bsls actually dropped down to 4.4 during labor so didn't need an insulin drip, instead I was prescribed raspberry cordial. Can't tell you fantastic that tasted. Have since bought myself a bottle and have the odd glass lol.
Eli's levels dropped to 2 and hour after he was born and his temp dropped too, so he was given a bottle and put in the humidy crib for a few hours. He was back in our room and levels were fine about 5 hours after his birth. We were able to visit him and touch him which was nice.
My day 4 levels were all under 6 so just waiting for my 6 week check where I'll be given my papers for another GTT.

We're all going really well. Eli's a dream. Ethan's loving him to bits but is a little jealous. Has become even more of a Daddy's boy.

Eli's calling for a feed so best be off. Hope everyone else is ok.
