    Hey everyone -
Sorry i don't have a lot of time for personals, im a bit dead today.

Jo - I second what Ali said - think of the foremilk as 'skinny milk' that we drink - That's why it's watery.
It just means maybe you take a bit longer to let down, but that'll always adjust with Sophie's comfort. Slowly learning, trust YOUR instincts - you're made to be a mummy too, & our parents parented a long time ago.
If you want to get her back on to your bb's just feed her what you can and top up (with formula). Then half an hour after a bb feed express from each side (twice if you can) - I just finished reading the 'guide to bfing' book i got when leaving hospy and that's how they recommend to increase supply or bring them back onto bb.
Maz recommended Akta-vite - but it's a chocolate drink, but dr's say about it upsetting bubs (apparently too much, like caffeine can reduce supply too?)- personally i *craved* chocolate after alex was born and i don't think the amount i had (way too much, lol) upset him at all - and Barb Glare said that it should be fine.
If you can't get her bf'ing again naturally you could always ask your GP &/or MCHN about Motilium or Maxolon to up your supply. Motilium is for supply specifically i think, Maxolon is an anti-nausea med which apparently can bring it back thick & fast.

In hindsight that's probably why i was leaking so early because i was taking Maxolon for M/S.

Hope i don't sound like a twit considering i've only been breastfeeding for nine days... :S

Kass - Wondered where you got to! Thanks for the advice hun I never though bf would feel so natural either... i am utterly amazed!

I had my first visit from the MCHN today - i asked her all the questions i had about BFing & sleeping & the conflicting advice i'd had - she said he's doing fine!

So fine in fact, that the little PORKER has put on 200gms in 4 DAYS!!!

So my boobies must be doing okay LOL.

    Be Back later for more.

Ali how r u going with ur PND?
Im starting 2 think about weather i should wait a long gap between TTC #2 or try when Bella starts walking?
Everyone talk 2 me about as if Bella was such a mistake because im young and think that i wouldn't dream of trying 4 another 4 a long time.
When i joke 2 mum about it she says 2 me "U better not, dont u want a life?"
I dont know im in 2 minds about it? Thought id ask u as u have had 2 at a young age.
Also can u tell me who Jade is?

I've been bathing & feeding Sophie and decided to pull my finger out and clean up the kitchen and decided to have a shower and massage my BB's sorry TMI, now i'm relaxing before i have to start preparing dinner. Sophie 6 weeks this thursday woohoo.

Ali/Ash- thanks for the advice on BF its much appreciated, but i think i'll stick to FF as when i was BF Sophie was just mucking around with attaching and we were both just getting frustrated & stressed, maybe next time i'll be able to BF longer but i'm happy with my decision. I bought the akta-vite but it wasnt very nice and looked like mouse poo. Ash i dont mind you throwing in your 2 cents everyone has an experience and if it can help someone else even better, you've got REAL good BB Juice haha.

Kass- My nipples was part of the reason i stopped BF. In my opinion when you (& Clint of course cant forget him) want to TTC #2 thats totally YOUR decision dont listen to your mum its YOUR life not hers no offence but shes had her kids when she wanted to now its your turn. Your turn to have a mummy brain moment Nice one on BF for 9months

Jess- Sophies more settled being FF now, so as i've said i'm happy to FF and not BF anymore. I will just check with my dr on Friday that what i'm doing is ok (stopping cold turkey).

Ok i think ive caught up.

I know what you mean Kass, some people don't see the 'job satisfaction' in being a mum - with all the pooping, crying, feeding messes that babies are. Some of us on the other hand, find being a mum just as rewarding as a 'proper' career - & anyone who thinks they can give you their two cents worth on your financial situation should butt out! When it comes to work & money that's up to you & Clint & noone else - it's good that they worry but to undermine your decisions by putting an 'i told you so' in your face is never going to help, iykwim.

Jo - good luck with the FF, i'm sure it'll be good to have your boobies back to yourself (& Chris, )! From what i have read, you should be right to stop the BFing as you have, so long as you don't have a blocked duct or the beginnings of mastitis (i think anyway) because stopping at this time is BAD for your bb's! But yeah check with your GP, im sure you'll be fine...!

Jo & Jess - Do either of you use a dummy yet? / Are you going to? / How did Sophie & Jaylen take to it & how old were they at first? Sorry, just curious!

Ash- no worries only to happy to help if i can. The fat ball dummies are the cherry type. Sophie has the Avent orthodontic type also and she gets rid of it easy too SIL gave me a newborn cherry type to try as it fills their mouth up more and might make it harder for them to get rid of. I agree you'd think people would buy practical gifts luckily we didnt get any dummies etc Sophie got a little trinket box, a bluebird bracelet, a birth coin, photo frame, a little teddy, a utensil set, bowl & plate from taronga zoo and a egg that looks like a cradle that Chris mum makes for all the grandkids. This might sound strange but my older sisters bf's grandparents buy stuff for Sophie (they dont have any grandkids of their own its kind of cute) they bought her a nice pink overalls suit & 2 skivvies that she'll fit into come winter. MIL showed me how to bath Sophie the day we got home and apart from her & Chris watching me bath her i've been doing it on my own the whole time, shes too wrigglely to be held in the water now but i have a cloth bath seat that i put her in and at first she hated the bath but now she loves it.

Sally- you should know we can talk haha. Glad you had a good day at the zoo even if Brendan wasnt interested in the animals. That's great that you & Nigel are doing better and that hes helping more. I had to fold my washing this morning before the cleaners came geez i do alot of washing and most of it needs an iron YAY something else for me to do. I hope Mr B went to sleep for you & you both got some rest.

Sal- oh wow buying baby clothes its all so exciting isnt it and once you find out the sex you'll be shopping even more haha i know i wanted to. Sales arent stupid they save you money so you can buy more things haha :P We bought our furniture off ebay & picked it up from the seller so saved money on the furniture and saved on delivery too. BRING ON the 17th!!!!.

Kass- PMSL at your little jingle. Reading the beginning of your post i was going to ask once id finished if you'd had anything to drink etc you sound like you were in a very happy/strange mood last night.

Krissy- i too had a mummy brain moment and forgot about you but it wont happen again i cant remember if your name was in your signature or not last time either.

    Whats everyone up to today??

Jo- Im always a lil crazey, just ask Sally hahaha But i get in a strange annoying mood when im tired!

Sally- Let me know how beautiful brendan goes, poor lil man he's so stronge!

Well 2day i had a staff meeting at 8:00am so u can imagine the mess Bella was in by the end of it! Another lady there has a bub the same age as annabelle and her name is Ayla. Now Ayla was VERY well behaved and made Bella look like those snotty lil children as she has a cold and was so tired by the end of it so was crying, poor lil thing way the f*#@ dont they have the meeting at 5:30pm after the shop closes!!! I was so embarressed
But then when i got in the car and Bella was saying mum mum mum like she does x100 when she's tired. I thought who cares she's a bub whos sick and tired and doesn't want 2 sit in a room 4 an hr, when she's usually in bed!!!

o and i 4got 2 add i spoke 2 clint last night and we discssed TTC #2 in feb next yr!! He said so far yes but we'll talk about it again in feb 09 and see where we're at!
I said "Well my body is already STREATCHED, so any time b4 i work on a models body would b good! hahahahahahahaha................hahahahahahaha

Ash-HAHA have my bb's back to myself and Chris, i dont think i've got a blocked duct or mastitis (my bb's arent red). Sophie's had a dummy since she was in hospital in saying that she doesnt have it all the time only when im trying to settle her and sucking the dummy does the trick and she usually spits it out when shes had enough of it, Sophie took to it straight away gave her something more to suck on after having BB/bottle.

Kass - Thanks As for Uni - I have absolutely NO idea! My problem is that i'm interested in learning, but i don't know what i actually want to 'do'. I loved English at high school, & i love psychology & phys ed theory & biology. But i don't know what i want to 'do' with it. The one thing i did really want to do was artist/band & event management. But it's become an impractical choice now that i have a baby. So we'll see what happens when the time comes...

Thanks Jo - I'm sort of testing them out at the moment, i don't think they're interfering with his suck - but he sucks on Anthony's fingers a lot when we bath him and THAT makes him chomp - so i thought we'd try a dummy (we have about eight laying around*). I have one that's "orthodontic" which he does sort of take but it's so easy for him to get rid of, so i've been just letting him have the one with the fat ball end on it. Or whatever they're called.

    * Ok so i shouldn't complain, but why do people give gifts of bottles & dummies, as if the parents of the child haven't thought of possible necessities like that??! It frustrated me to no end. For the $5 the spent on a dummy they could have got something like a baby wash instead - practical always going to get used sort of thing!!!

Haha Ali i'll do my best!

Trini - - You guys may not be quite ready for kidlets but if it is a you have almost nine months to prepare. If me and ant managed after only having been together three months i'm sure you guys definitely will! And you'll have all the loving support of everyone here too!

I'm trying to finish my birth story, it's already a thousand words and im not even half way through my labour / in the deep end of it yet - lol!!!
I don't want to leave anything out, because im writing it for myself and i want to remember it ALL. And i cant be bothered cutting bits out to make it "forum friendly" so it's going to be a marathon read when i post it, hahahaha.
