    Heya all!
Im not up to much on NYE, just sitting round at home with DP.
Got invited to a party with my bestie, but i know her intentions...ill be the driver and dhe will get drunk...and i wont know any one else around. So i passed on that one. She takes me being PG for granted and thinks im okay with being the driver, she lives half an hour away and im expected to pick her up and drive her to a party and me hang around while every one is drunk and i dont know any of them bar two ppl. GRR.
DP and i arent very big on NYE any way, so sitting around having a relaxing night is mostly welcomed by both...and possibly all three of us, im sure bub wouldnt want to be hanging around drunko's!!

Gawd families can be stressful can't they Sally! But for some reason older people think they can say whatever they want and get away with it.
Speaking of which, i'm gonna have to try and explain to my mum why i don't want her at the birth of this next baby... ugh... she's a very emotional person and she's menopausal which doesn't help and
the fact that i want my best friend there so she's like 'well why can't i?' but i find her company rather stressful which is something i don't need in labour.. just how do i tell her that LOL.

Wahoo on the shopping Catherine! sounds like you had a great time!

You know i'd actually forgotten it was NYs as we're really not doing anything. Have a great time those of you that are!! Take care guys

    Ok, Serious stuff now.

Normally I am a level-headed person who thinks rationally and can easily ignore silly comments from family/friends/strangers, but last night I'd had enough. I spent half the night getting Brendan ready for and into Bed, and then just wanted to relax and catch up with our guests. I'd barely sat down when I was asked by my Grandmother to go and make a cup of Tea for my Grandfather. I said no, because I wanted to sit out here and had been inside most of the night caring for Brendan, and she said thats your job. I said i know that, but now he's asleep and i want to enjoy my night.

This wasn't the first time I'd been asked to do something that night. Anyway I walked off and said fine i'll just stay inside then.... my mum got up and did the cup of tea and my grandmother followed us in and she said now calm down.... wel well wrong thing to say.... I lost it, i said no, i am sick of all these comments about how i should be doing things and all these comments about Nigel, i'm sick of being treated like a child!

LOL, sorry it's long, just needed to vent!

Hope everyone else had a good night!

Not to far from me, I live about 20mins from the city depending on traffic.
Hopefully when you come down all this icky sticky hot weather will be gone.
Maybe you'll be able to come to a Melb meet-up or if there is more melb girls we could all meet-up.

Sally you had everyone right to lose your temper, I don't think people think before they speak sometimes.

Hi guys. Wow, Sal your grandmother is so mean. I mean yes looking after your son is your job but getting a cup of tea for your grandfather is not your job too, its hers! Her husband her problem. Its good you stood up and said you won't take the **** anymore.

    Welcome to 2008!
