<---sheep..lol. Googled my username and there's just lots of stuff about storm troopers! And Holden SS utes (which is where it came from anyway because when I was younger I so desperately wanted an SS ute!)

I think all the pics are from Twitter. But I'm really aware of the 'evils' of social media sites so I'm all good with being 'out there'

OMG....... I am so much more findable with my married name!!!! (which is a lot more unusual than my maidan name was!..... my maidan name finds a canadian winter olympian.....)..... my married name just finds me.... and some other obscure person in the UK.....

    but.... I digress......

I have never met anyone from BB.... how would you figure it out anyway...??? it's not like I go around talking about TTC and the forums I'm on....

How are you able to change your username on bb?

Thanks for all your great answers. I am still unsure if I will say anything, I mean, we are not friends just that I see and speak to her twice a day three times a week for all of 5 minutes. I guess if the right time ever comes up I will know it and it will only be in regards to her blog not bb.

This reminded me though that when I was looking around for a forum to join I was having a look through another one and figured out I knew someone on there. I have never gone back there, Mainly because that made my choice not to join there so she could never figure out me but I just did not want to know stuff she was not willing to tell me IRL. Funny how just by a few things in a sig we can recognise someone.

I have never put anything on here that would bother me if anyone I know wanted to join but I still don't say I am member of BB. There have been times though with my friends that I have considered how BB could help them a certian times but have never said anything.

bskilner, I think you need to PM onyx.

Hmm very interesting.... Googled myself and although I found nothing about 'me' there was more hits for my maiden name which is less common than now weird. Also ad far as knowing & telling bbmembers u know IRL it only happened to.me once & I did tell because we had been fairly close in highschool & lost contact over the years. We ended up catching up 1 when I was in her town but lost contact AGAIN coz I didn't have easy net access for long time. Anyway I guess I'd wanna know if I was recognised, I don't put anything I wouldn't talk about IRL anyway- if u know me u have to get used to talking about PG BF & birth etc. Haha

Lots of people say they know me IRL.
Yeh I think I may vaguely know you

I concur with the other wonderful advice, go from the point of the blog which is more public arena than here (especially if they were platinum and you mentioned something in passing that they'd only put in platinum, which isn't googleable)

I'm open about a lot of my life, so there are things out there on me.

But also intensely private, so if you google my personal email address the only things you find are from at least 5-10 years ago, you can't find me if you google my name, well you can find people with my name, but you can't find me Don't show up on a FB search either.

I would prefer people tell me they know me off here. Most BB people I know I used here to meet them IRL rather than stumble across them.

If I google my username it's the first thing that comes up

Coming from a small town there are only a couple of bb users and I have met all of them, unless there are new ones
Where I work I would have a high chance of running into bbers anyway

I guess if you send her a PM - she will get an email that says someone has messaged her..... "I think I met you the other day....blah blah blah..."

I'd be a bit freaked out if it was me.... but... it'd be kinda cool too

I guess I could. It all depends if she has email notifications activated or not.

I was thinking I could send her a message on her blog and let her know that I know her and that I can tell her who I am if she would like. That way she can choose if she would like to know too.

I say tell her - you have background info she won't have to explain and that could be a relief to her
