What a week! Last Friday my puppy starting shaking, losing her balance and having heaps of muscle twitches. I took her to the vet on Saturday and they suspected something was wrong with her brain. Urine and blood tests were done and all came back clear so she was taken to a specialist yesterday and had a CSF (brain fluid) tap. To cut a long story short, the fluid was clear which means there is no indication of brain inflammation and she can be treated with streroids and hopefully will be back to normal soon. Can I tell you that I have never ever felt so sick to the stomach, helpless and sad as I have over the last week or so. I cried and cried yesterday when I found out she was going to be ok. I'm not religious but I found myself praying to someone, anyone, and asking them to take everything I have to make sure she was ok. It was quite warm here yesterday so at one stage I was praying to the sun god!! I don't think I could handle having babies if I ever have to go through this again. So happy now though and I feel like Christmas has come early. I thought I would have missed out on heaps of news but it's really quiet in here - I hope that means everyone is well but busy buying presents Off to give the pup a smooch and cuddle...
