Hey Seph - I don't think the problem is with freezing blasties, because there should be no problem with doing that. But maybe the issue is thawing them from their first freeze, and then re-freezing them again. There could be difficulties with that (but of course I'm no doctor so couldn't really say). Our experience with freezing blasties is that they're grown to blasties in the first place, and then frozen. Then they're thawed when needed. But I have also wondered the same thing. What happens if they end up thawing more than they need? Would they just re-freeze them? I just don't know. I also wonder that maybe there could be issues with re-freezing the blasties in that each time they're frozen/thawed, their quality could drop. Hope you can find out some answers from your FS/clinic next week. Good luck with everything next week.
