vicki, sorry to hear things aren't going how you had hoped. i too had a poor response at my first cycle 3-4 follies but i managed to get one embie and an ET after upping my dose. it was great information to use for my subsequent cycles as we pushed the dosage level up from the start.
i had stims for 16 days with my last cycle so is there a chance you can continue on for another week and get your follies growing? GL hun, it is hard when things don't go how we would like them to, but i think there is a chance for you yet.
BG i hope your belly is better today and that BW is recovering well.

Vickki - it is not over yet I have had 8 follies last 2 stims and still got 2 embies each time for ET so hang in there drink lots of water and think of them growing and new one appearing I usally need stims for 12-14 days so you may be the same.

Dellydoo - take care of yourself hun - number 1 point right now ... and all is not lost as hard as it is knowing you may have to cxl the cycle you still have the embies there waiting for you for when the time is right ...
Kazza - dont lose hope hun, at least they know a bit more and as you say can have ICSI next time, which is the best possible option ... take it easy hun and positive thoughts are all yours ...
BG - yep I had the exact same thing, my stomach has only started to disappear today and feel a bit more squishy (very technical I know!), whereas up until yesterday from EPU it was like a bloated rock ... although I did have to go and buy prunes this morning to help shift things along (TMI I know) but alas these are all the side effects of the local i guess .... hope you start to feel better soon ... Hope BW is doing well too if you have heard from her lately make sure you send her all our good wishes .....

Miss C - yay for Bernard !! 2 embies is great and I agree it is quality not quantity so here is hoping Bernard sticks well and implants big time .... I have promised my DH the same, no HPT's before the blood test I am hoping I am strong enough to stick it out though lolol .... He he i love doing dishes too ... are you sure we are not related somehow lolol ... Yep on the Crinone and so far only side effects are extreme tiredness and really sore BB's ..... youch ..... poor DH cant get a look in anywhere at the moment lololol ... Hope you have a fantastic time in Tassie and enjoy the break !!
Vicki - so sorry to hear your news hun .... the one thing to consider is that your FS knows what is best and I will heartbroken for you if you have to cxl, but now they will be armed with more information and knowledge about how your body responds and therefore you should have much better success. I agree with Dusty & TL as my FS told me when I was responding poorly in the beginning that these things take time and they can play around with the dose just even to get 1 or 2 embies so there is still hope hun .... I know it is small comfort right now but I feel for you hun and hope that some of the others who have had first hand experience like Dusty & TL can help you through this ...
Well I am waiting for our scientist to call to see how many of our embies have made it to Day 3 and what their status is .... sooooooo nervous right now .... and I am becoming so protective, I really just want to be a cocoon mama for them (well the 1 we are putting back that is) ....

Hi girls, miss a day and man it's hard to catch up. I have had a laugh, I love the banter backwards and forwards, I think it makes it more personal.
BW sorry hun, would love to come see you and hope someone has. But you might regret it if I come, it would be a noisy visit. Great news on your embies, hope they all continue on strongly for their mummy and daddy.
BG, I never expected that!!! But I guess it is lots of chances, good luck with transfer tomorrow. Look forward to joining you in the TWW. It may just be tummy problems, the pain. I had a similar type pain IBS Amanda said that is a bowel type of thing, up so high.
DD good luck you brave girl, I can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling, but good on you for having fun and trying to lighten the mood you certainly made me laugh.
Melsta, you are really on a high. Again love the banter and a good laugh you are a funny girl.
Miss c, have a great trip. I can imagine the shock but am very happy that you get to transfer. Like you say with everything you have got on , the wait will fly by.

Pookie, I am no expert but like Dusty said can they continue you on for longer, she had a good result with the extension of her cycle. Maybe cause my cycle was cancelled with 2 follies, I think 6-8 are definately worth trying to grow longer to get to size. Good luck ask heaps of questions, don't let them cancel you too early.

Miss C - I got two embies too. Currently have one on board and one in the freezer, yay!! I hope Bernard is a sticker for you. Congratulations on your wedding and I hope you enjoy your trip to Tassie. I was born in Hobart and lived there until I was married 10 years ago - I miss it very much still!

As for me, I had quite bad AF-like cramps last night, and a few this morning, which have depressed me a bit. I have got it in my head that we cannot possibly get lucky this time, as we probably used up all our luck conceiving our daughter last time. Besides which, my adenomyosis is heaps worse this time, which won't be helping things!! I have felt a bit of nausea and sore boobs, but I think that might be wishful thinking more than anything else.
Oh well, I have my last Pregnyl injection tonight (yuk) and will see how we go. I will be halfway to my blood test tomorrow.

hey blackduckies, and top of the morning to you ..... aw you are a sweetie ... im actually in the process of continually picking up my mobile getting ready to dial and then thinking be patient be patient and then think nah stuff it and go to ring again but cant quite do it lolol ... trying to teach myself patience .... lolol hmmm not working today ....
Brownbug - hope that there is no AF for you ... keep thinking positive thoughts, its not over yet and often the AF symptons can be mis interpreated and they are actually pg symptoms .... oooh good luck and try as hard as it is to take it easy hun .... just keep the chatter in here and before you know it another day will have passed and it will have been alot easier to get through as remember you always have the support of your BB buddies .... good luck for your last injection ... you should toast to no more jabbing and piercing of the skin !! Can I ask though what is adenomyosis (if you dont mind me asking that is?)

What happened to me is this: Had serious car accident in Aug 2003. When I started getting bad stabbing pain in my belly in Jan 2004, I thought it was related to my injuries, but after a heaps of referrals, was diagnosed with endometriosis. Had a laparoscopy in April 2004 (tube was removed as it had been destroyed by endo) and another in July 2004 (they thought they would have to remove part of my bowel, but thank goodness they didn't!). Went straight on Synarel for a couple of months to control endo, then started IVF in Nov 2004. First cycle was BFN, second was BFP but had a missed miscarriage at 12 months, the third resulted in my beautiful daughter Katelyn.
When my period came back after I finished breast feeding, the pain was horrific. My specialist almost wouldn't believe me, because endo is supposed to get better after pregnancy, not worse. After another shocking period though, he agreed to do another laparoscopy in June this year. Turns out that while I was pregnant with Katie, and my uterus was stretched, the endo actually got into the muscle lining of the uterus. This is called adenomyosis, kind of a really awful endo. My uterus was enlarged to the size of a 10 -12 week pregnant woman. There is not really a cure, either, except a hysterectomy, which I won't have until I have a chance at a second baby.
So I went on Synarel for a couple of months to settle things down and to cope with the dreadful pain, now am back on IVF. My FS reckons the adeno may reduce my chances somewhat this time, but is still hopeful.
I'm really really sorry for the encyclopaedia answer here, but I thought a potted history might be the best way to explain it all.

OMG Brownbug - you are such a strong person I had no idea your journey had involved that much .... I take my hat off to you that you can continually give rays of sunshine even after everything you have been through and I hope your 2nd baby arrives for you on this attempt .... and I also hope in future your specialists believe you from the get go and dont give you the run around ......

Thanks for reading my soap opera, Melsta. There are so many many strong women in here, it amazes me every day. Every time I felt like giving up, I logged on here and read all of your stories, both here and in the Miscarriage threads, and saw how you all picked yourselves up after disappointments and carried on. You all seem to have so much kindness to give to others who are struggling, no matter how bad each of you must feel from time to time. I admire you all very much.
This time, I have found the courage to join in and to experience this support first hand. I only hope that I can be half as good at encouraging others as you all seem to be

yep i think this is the best thing that ever happened to all us AC and TTC'ers .... being able to vent and speak about all things even the TMI things makes this process so much easier to handle ...
I just emailed my FS nurse to ask her when the scientist will call me ..... trying *attempting* to clean my office in the hope of making time go oh so quickly .....

morning ladies - and what a bunch of chatty little bunch you all are this morning!
Melsta - thanks so much for letting me know you've been through the same feeling. i had an upset tum up til about lunch yesterday, and i was cruisy - had to take some pain killers for a headache, and i think the codeine just got on top of me - i just feel really backed up (sorry for the TMI) - have been sitting her contemplating what food we have in the house that i can guarantee will go through me (we're 60k round trip from the shops and i soooo can't be bothered going) - i think 2min noodles might be on the menu for lunch...
haven't heard from BW since last night. she's been moved into Nepean Private hospital now and is much happier! private room with her own fridge, and feeling a lot better - is now wondering why she bothered to struggle on at home first time! oooh, as i was typing this, she messaged me! said she is still sore, dizzy and bloated, but being taken good care of, and feeling much happier - and has had a good night sleep! yay!!

Wow BB - That is incredible, you have been through so much and you have come through it all with such good spirit. I am so hopeful you have a lovely sticky emby honey - don't let those negative thoughts take over - am sending you cyberpositivity!
VIcki - I am co sorry, FS is there to look after you and I am sure they would not cancel unless it was absolutely necessary. Mine and I had a discussion re canning yetserday because of too many and the risk of OHSS. It feels like you have worked so hard for nothing but my DP said to me last night that it's our first go and this is the way they get to know our bodies and reactions. I am so hopeful for you honey.

I did my trigger last night and the most delightful and unexpected side effect was the most horrific flatulence I have ever been involved in. I had to keep the dog close to me all night until I finally had to tell DP as I love the dog and she shouldn't have her reputation destroyed! Unfortunately this now means DP is teasing my relentlessly and the dog is not speaking to me!
EPU in 24hours!!! And don't worry BG and TL - at the first sign of trouble I am going to hospital - BW's experience has been a lesson.

BG - i bought prunes this morning and I know this is TMI but cabanossi last night too in case it will help ease the movements lol ... hmmm maybe baked beans are on the agenda today for lunch LOLOL but yes you are not alone and it does get better, i find that keeping the water and gatorade up helps big time as well .... go those fluids ...
Thank goodness BW is feeling so much better .... on the up and up which is good to see and a private room is even better .... here is sending her lots more get well vibes ...

Sorry I got waylaid by the phone as I was typing to TL ... well OMG is all I can say ... Our FS scientists grade our embies by good, fair and poor, so out of the 10 embies that showed signs of fertilisation, 9 are considered good and 1 is considered fair. He did say that they expect some of these to drop off but at the same time, quite a few of the 9 are 8 cells already or more advanced so he said that we have very good results .... needless to say I am in the happiest of happiest moods and I told my DH he is a sperm tank lolol of which he is quite chuffed and I swear on the phone he would have been beating his chest should he have been able too lololol .....
So yes, sorry for my big rant and blah, but I am very happy and feeling even more positive as the days progress .... hopefully not too many will drop off now .....

Melsta that is amazing news and your DH is probably out hunting and gathering as we speak. I had 16 eggs at my scan on Monday and one was so big FS reckoned it would be gone by EPU. My Estrogen was 21000 yesterday and I feel great. My FS is is worried that there will be too many and they will not be of good quality and we have to freeze them whatever happens because my body is being so nuts. All crossed and will know whether I have good, fair, poor or pooh on Saturday.
