    Hi Ladies!
Well, I had my app with the laparoscopic specialist yesterday - he is absolutely furious I haven't been referred sooner - he said I should have been referred after our BFN in April.
Good news though, I am booked in for the lap 8th Jan - he wanted to do it next Mon, but its my last week of work for 6 weeks (I teach piano & work for myself, I don't teach thru the school hol's) and I really need to work and make some money before I have 6 weeks of no income!!!
So Jan 8th should be here fast enough with Christmas in the middle of things!
He's going to have a look around and fix whatever needs fixing - seems to think the reason my embies aren't sticking is because of scar tissue and adhesions, so he's going to remove them in the hope that thats all we need!
He also wants me to change clinics for our next cycle after having 4 unsuccessful stim cycles with the same clinic.... he has referred me to Dr Mark Bowman at Sdney IVF - are any of you ladies with him???
Any info you could give me would be much appreciated... I just love everyone at out clinic, its a hard change to make, especially if our only problem is the scar tissue, I feel like we're abandoning our clinic when its not their fault.... aaauuggghh the guilt!!!
Starting at a new clinic feels like we're starting all over again, but this can only be a good thing I guess!!!
Dr Bowman is a lot more expensive than what we have been paying, which is another issue too, straight after Christmas!!!! Not that you can put a price on getting our babies in the end, but it certainly puts a detour into the journey!!!
Would love any input from you all, especially if you have been treated with Dr Bowman, or Sydney IVF.
Thanks so much, and best wishes to everyone on 2ww, and everyone else as well!!!
    Holly

    Hi all,

Megan - I hope you can get af soon (usually we don't want her to come), the sooner she comes the sooner you can try again.

Holly - I'm glad you are able to have your surgery soon, it's awful when you have to wait.
Hopefully that will do the trick for you.
Bummer though that you have to change clinics especially when you feel comfortable there.
However if you don't want to you don't have to, do what you feel right with.

Hollybolly - All the best with your surgery, I had a laparoscope back when we first went to see a FS, they wanted to have a look around and make sure things where doing what they where meant too and everything came back normal and my FS said that after a laparoscope some ladies seem to fall pregnant within 8 weeks, he said it may have something to do with having a good clean out. I was with this FS for 12 months and nothing, he kept tell us that we should be pregnant and it is only a matter of time and blah, blah blah, then I heard an ad on the radio for Sydney IVF in Canberra, they where having an information session, so I went to that and chatted to Drs and my first AIH with my new AF (a her this time) we got a BFP, however we did MC but she did more for me then the other clinic did, even thou everyone was so nice and everything at the other clinic, I felt this was the best move for us and so far everything is working out well with Sydney IVF and finally they have found a reason why it has taken so long for us to start our family and now we are 3 days away from seeing if our first ICSI cycle has worked or not. So I say go for it

TwoMums - Sorry to hear your AF arrived. I beleive 2007 is going to be a big boom for babies. What a great way to drown the sorrows with some retail therapy. Enjoy the festive season and all the best for 2007.

??? - I have a question for those who did get a BFN or have had a BFN previously and are doing ICSI/IVF/FET, when did your AF arrive, was it before your BT. I am 3 days away from my BT and I have been told if AF was to arrive it would be normally be 14 days after EPU, so I count EPU as Day 0, so if that is the case day 14 for me would be Thursday and AF should arrive Friday making that day 1 of a new cycle?? Have others found this to be true??

    Hi Everyone!
Macca - Thanks so much for your reply, its so great to get some feedback! We have just been doing this for what feels like forever, yet its starting to feel like we're only just starting again!!!
I'm feeling more positive about the change, and DH has wanted to change since our cycle in April, so hes more than ready!
In response to your question, I know that our BT was scheduled for the Monday, and we were told AF would be due 3 days before, on the Friday.
That makes AF due 16 days after EPU, they told us to count EPU as day 1.
I'm sure every clinic is prob different, but thats what we were told to use as a guide..... hope thats helpful!!!
Thanks to everyone for their lovely words of encouragement!!!!
