    Hi all,

    Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

Loula - happy anniversary! Sorry you had a bfn but I'm glad you didn't let it spoil you night.
That's one thing we all have to remember through this ttc journey is that we still need to enjoy life & our loved ones.

Nic - sorry about that witch arriving, just doesn't seem to get the message does she!

Sari - I'm sure that everything will be fine but I can understand how freaked out you would be.

Twomums - sorry about af arriving, get stuck into some retail therapy to make you feel better.

Macca - sending positive vibes your way.

Well I O'd yesterday so tried to get in some bding, hoping like mad that this month will be the month. (like we all do every month.)
Mind you seeing as it's such a busy month my mind is able to concentrate on other things beside ttc.

Lou, so sorry to hear about your BFN. I'm glad you were still able to enjoy your anniversary though.
Nic, sorry to hear AF arrived. She just can't take a hint can she?
Sari, how scary to be going through what you are. Hope things are a bit better now. Make sure you get lots of rest (although I am sure you are!)
Jo, hope this is your month!!
Megan, bugger about your BFN this cycle. It looks like we're both out until next year now!!
As for me, STILL waiting for AF to arrive. I am now on CD35 of what is normally a 26-28 day cycle. I am assuming it's because of my IVF cycle that things aren't quite back to normal, so I'm just plodding along for now. I am not testing. I have decided I am not putting myself through that. I will wait another week and if still no AF I will test or go to the dr. I'm sure I'll be back at CD1 soon!

    Hi Ladies!
Well, I had my app with the laparoscopic specialist yesterday - he is absolutely furious I haven't been referred sooner - he said I should have been referred after our BFN in April.
Good news though, I am booked in for the lap 8th Jan - he wanted to do it next Mon, but its my last week of work for 6 weeks (I teach piano & work for myself, I don't teach thru the school hol's) and I really need to work and make some money before I have 6 weeks of no income!!!
So Jan 8th should be here fast enough with Christmas in the middle of things!
He's going to have a look around and fix whatever needs fixing - seems to think the reason my embies aren't sticking is because of scar tissue and adhesions, so he's going to remove them in the hope that thats all we need!
He also wants me to change clinics for our next cycle after having 4 unsuccessful stim cycles with the same clinic.... he has referred me to Dr Mark Bowman at Sdney IVF - are any of you ladies with him???
Any info you could give me would be much appreciated... I just love everyone at out clinic, its a hard change to make, especially if our only problem is the scar tissue, I feel like we're abandoning our clinic when its not their fault.... aaauuggghh the guilt!!!
Starting at a new clinic feels like we're starting all over again, but this can only be a good thing I guess!!!
Dr Bowman is a lot more expensive than what we have been paying, which is another issue too, straight after Christmas!!!! Not that you can put a price on getting our babies in the end, but it certainly puts a detour into the journey!!!
Would love any input from you all, especially if you have been treated with Dr Bowman, or Sydney IVF.
Thanks so much, and best wishes to everyone on 2ww, and everyone else as well!!!

    Hi all,

Megan - I hope you can get af soon (usually we don't want her to come), the sooner she comes the sooner you can try again.

Holly - I'm glad you are able to have your surgery soon, it's awful when you have to wait.
Hopefully that will do the trick for you.
Bummer though that you have to change clinics especially when you feel comfortable there.
However if you don't want to you don't have to, do what you feel right with.

Hollybolly - All the best with your surgery, I had a laparoscope back when we first went to see a FS, they wanted to have a look around and make sure things where doing what they where meant too and everything came back normal and my FS said that after a laparoscope some ladies seem to fall pregnant within 8 weeks, he said it may have something to do with having a good clean out. I was with this FS for 12 months and nothing, he kept tell us that we should be pregnant and it is only a matter of time and blah, blah blah, then I heard an ad on the radio for Sydney IVF in Canberra, they where having an information session, so I went to that and chatted to Drs and my first AIH with my new AF (a her this time) we got a BFP, however we did MC but she did more for me then the other clinic did, even thou everyone was so nice and everything at the other clinic, I felt this was the best move for us and so far everything is working out well with Sydney IVF and finally they have found a reason why it has taken so long for us to start our family and now we are 3 days away from seeing if our first ICSI cycle has worked or not. So I say go for it

TwoMums - Sorry to hear your AF arrived. I beleive 2007 is going to be a big boom for babies. What a great way to drown the sorrows with some retail therapy. Enjoy the festive season and all the best for 2007.

??? - I have a question for those who did get a BFN or have had a BFN previously and are doing ICSI/IVF/FET, when did your AF arrive, was it before your BT. I am 3 days away from my BT and I have been told if AF was to arrive it would be normally be 14 days after EPU, so I count EPU as Day 0, so if that is the case day 14 for me would be Thursday and AF should arrive Friday making that day 1 of a new cycle?? Have others found this to be true??

    Hi Everyone!
Macca - Thanks so much for your reply, its so great to get some feedback! We have just been doing this for what feels like forever, yet its starting to feel like we're only just starting again!!!
I'm feeling more positive about the change, and DH has wanted to change since our cycle in April, so hes more than ready!
In response to your question, I know that our BT was scheduled for the Monday, and we were told AF would be due 3 days before, on the Friday.
That makes AF due 16 days after EPU, they told us to count EPU as day 1.
I'm sure every clinic is prob different, but thats what we were told to use as a guide..... hope thats helpful!!!
Thanks to everyone for their lovely words of encouragement!!!!

Macca, when I got my BFN, AF arrived 3 days before my BT which was 10 days after transfer or 13 days after EPU (EPU counted as Day 0 at our clinic). My little emby did actually implant and my BT had low levels of HCG so I had to have a follow up test which showed that the pregnancy didn't continue.

Holly - sounds like the change is a good move, hope all goes well with the lap.

Twomums - sorry to hear AF arrived - hope the retail therapy cheered you up

Macca - i'm yet to try IVF so i can't help with your question but my fingers are tightly crossed for a BFP for you

Megan - how are things with you?

Jo - hope the TWW is treating you well and you guys have caught the egg this month

Sari - how are you going? I hope everything is ok

Hi to everyone i missed, hope all is well and you're all prepared for Xmas

We went to our FS appointment Monday night, i have to have another scan to double check for PCOS and some bloods done to help work out what strength of drugs etc their going to put me on then we go back on the 4th Feb to get our results and to organise when we're going to start the IVF which probably won't be until April. I had a bit of a freak out Tuesday about the whole TTC but I'm feeling better now - we'll all get there eventually i guess it's just going to take a bit of time...

Boo, things are starting to happen for you which is good!! I felt so much better after seeing the FS and working out what the plan was. Kind of gave us something else to focus on (even though it's still TTC related, we felt like we were getting somewhere). Your next appt will be here before you know it!

I'm on CD38 today and have had terrible nausea the last 2 afternoons. I really don't think I am pg but I am getting frustrated. DH wants me to test but I am going to wait until the weekend like I said I would. I'm frustrated as it feels like my body is playing tricks on me (nausea) to get me thinking maybe I am pg when I'm not.
I guess I'll know soon enough!

    Hey Ladies,

Megan - oh my god how can you not have tested already!
You must really have some will power, I'm not sure if we can all wait until the weekend (lol).

Boo - sorry you had a horrible couple of days but as you know we all get them so don't feel bad.
I think sometimes it's just our body's way of getting the frustration out.
I too feel like it's just going on forever & it's never going to happen.

Well I am into tww but have been having stitch like cramps over the last few days, they were on the left but today on the right.
It only lasts a little while & the first day I assumed it was because of Oing but it doesn't normally last this long.
I'm hoping it's not anything to do with the endo that I had treated & that it's coming back.
I also had a bit of pain when bd last night which I don't normally get either.
I just wish I new what was going on with my body.:frown:

LOL Jo! I think I have convinced myself that it (falling pg naturally) just couldn't happen to me, so why bother testing?! You (and DH!) are just going to have to learn to more patient!!

I hope the cramps subside for you soon, and that it's nothing to do with the endo.

    Hi Ladies!!!
Megan - Oh my god you have some will power, I would have tested a thousand times by now!!!
Don't think it couldn't happen... you never know!!!
When I fell pg with my DS, I had nausea from about 3pm - 6pm every afternoon, starting from 3 days after I missed AF....so... fingers crossed for you!!!
Boo - Great to hear things are happening for you, everything will be happening before you know it!
Jo - Best of luck with 2ww, the stitch like cramps on alternate sides are also something I had after falling with DS....

As for me, have been looking into Sydney IVF for our change in clinics.... its a little daunting starting at a new clinic after 4 yrs but change is good!
Had a bit of a hard few days... found out that DH brother and his wife, who are pg with their 2nd baby both conceived whilst we have been ttc are naming their baby the name DH and I have had picked for our baby for the last 5 yrs....
Not that they knew, its purely coincidental, but still a bit of a bummer.... oh well thats life!
Best wishes to everyone, and have a lovely weekend!

    Hi there,

Holly - bummer about the name, you never know they might change their minds by the time baby arrives.
Just think though when you do fall pg you will be soooooooooooooo happy about it that you may not be so worried about the name.
Trying not to get my hopes up about the cramps, have had them again this arvo.
I have heard that it can sometimes be your tummy stretching when pg but I'm like megan thinking it will never happen so I am assuming the worse & that it is something to do with the endo.

Megan - loved your reply! So assuming still no af.

Hope everyone is getting organised for xmas!

    Hi Guys

Megan - I have my fingers crossed for you, I too thought last cycle that I couldnt happen and didnt even bother to test !!!! Good luck

Jo- the cramping can be a good sign, I have heard that it is the production of progesterone that can cause this, so you just never know.

Holly - best of luck with your new clinic

Macca - in realtion to your question about the arival of AF, she always arrived exactly 28 days after the last one, irrelevant of what drugs I had in my body.... my body is a stickler for routine.

As for me had BT's 1st one 148 2nd 250 and today 30, so it appears that this one has failed. I am trying to be postitive and think that at least I got pg, but I just think it is terrible, I have had the worst pain and bleeding this week, but so far have refrained from killing anyone !!! Poor DH.

I just couldnt bare to leave you all....

so here's wishing everyone a xtra big dose of sticky vibes

    Take care and blessed be

Sari - I am so sorry to hear your results, I know what you mean about trying to stay positive, but it is never easy and you need to go through the emotions, so let yourself be sad it is OK amd we are all here for you at any time if you need to vent. This same thing happen to me, and it is never easy, you think finally you get what you have been wanting, for so long and then something like this happens, it is crap and you wonder what one has done for this to happen. I know what I say is not going to make you feel any better, but please try and stay strong and positive and I beleive your dreams will come true and just maybe things might still turn out for the best.

Hollybolly - Sorry to hear you have been having a hard time. All the best with the new clinic, you will find it a positive and new start to this whole process. With the babies name, I have two cousins one born from my mums sister and the other from my mums brother who have named their sons the same, they are about 1 year apart and they are both named John. The child born first, my aunty was frustrated at first but I guess the name meant something to both of them so they are all OK with it now, so I think if you really love this name and it means something to you, why can't you name your child it too

Megan - I know what you mean about convincing yourself that it want happen cause it hasn't yet, but my god is it normal for you to be this late and have you had any treatment to make your cycle this late, cause if not I would start thinking of the possiblity cause to me the signs are coming, they say for some symptoms start around 6 weeks, so maybe just maybe you might get be and I guess there would be no harm with doing a test, it will help rest your DH's mind too. All the best and fingers crossed

For me, I am off to the clinic to have my BT, still no AF as yet, but like I have been saying before, it feels like it could be there any minute and I guess the results will be confirmed this afternoon. Anyway I better stop avoiding and get ready to go and I will chat later this afternoon.

Baby dust and sticky vibes to you all.
