Megan, will be keeping everything mega-pretzelled here too. I'm really praying for a good outcome for you this time - you sure do deserve it!

The countdown is on for me - 2 days to see Dr S, 7 days to see my FS - I'm very nearly back in the game again! And really excited to be so close!

    Hi All,

Sorry I've been awol for a little while and soooo much seems to have happened on here.

So to all the newbies on the thread a big hello, everyone in tww all my fingers toes etc etc are crossed for you. everyone on drugs...good luck..I know what it is like!

Me, well I have been sitting around waiting out my month before I can have my bubsicles transferred. After all the drugs and transfers and TWW I kind of feel that nothing is happening this month...and then I remembered there was something I could do...after all people have been having babies long before IVF hehehe. So now I am peeing on the OPK sticks instead of the HPT's..but at least it keeps me occupied. And I forgot that babie making can be more fun with out the doctors and test tubes involved hehehe (sorry if TMI).

The count down is on for part time at work..my replacement started today..yippeeee.

    Anyway...that's it from me

    babydust and stickyvibes to everyone

    Cheers
    Shelly

Helllo ... I'm back!!!!! Finally got my laptop back this arvo - infection free and have been busting to jump back on and see how everyone is doing!

Thanks for thinking of me over the few days I havent been around! It means a lot. I wish I had access on the days I was at home couch bound as my emotions were travelling on a pretty intense roller coaster.

Day of EPU they retrieved 25 eggs! I was in shock - I couldnt believe my luck! the next day I was told that 14 fertilised. I was still pretty happy with that as didnt expect a huge number to make it! My DH and I had a fun time coming up with names for all 14.
Friday day of ET, we were informed that only 1 made it. It was a good 4 cell embie. We saw it on the screen and took a pic! the news of the other 13 not making it just flat lined my emotions. I couldnt even get excited about the one on board! Had a good cry - and I dont know why it happened. Didnt expect to cry so early in the piece - shouldnt that happen when you get a BFN? HAd to keep trying to tell myself I still had one. The ET was so clinical and didnt feel it (well in comparison to EPU) and it just didnt feel real! Cant believe am now in 2WW ... I want to get excited and positive again, but havent had the strength too.

Megan I truly feel for you and what happened to you. Am praying that this EPU / cycle brings great results!

Kazza truly sorry to hear about your BFN! Not fair! I hope you fall naturally ... how good would that be!

Smithy / Arielle ,,, cant believe you are now injecting! Gotta love the junkie part of the cycle ehh?

Shannon great news on your 2 embies transferring! We can keep each other entertained in 2WW.

Nic, Loula and to everyone else ... hope you are all travelling well! Want to send you all round lots of baby dust and sticky vibes!!!

    Good luck for tomorrow Kell.

Im really tired today, dealing with a lot of emotional crap with my brother at the moment, he is having issues with his gf (They are both 18 and she's pg with her 3rd child). Its all too raw, but I need to be there for him, I cant just abandon him. blegh blegh blegh.

Sonya, really hope it is the real deal!

Mon, congrats on your embie. Did they have any idea why the other 13 didn't progress? I know in our case, DW had 26 eggs but about half weren't of much use as they were either immature or too mature - apparently common in high egg yields and nothing to worry about. In the end we had 10 fertilise I think so the numbers at that stage are quite similar.

    Hi to everyone else.

    Hi Everyone
I haven't been posting much as I am trying not to focus on TTC so the time pasts quickly but to be honest it hasn't. I have been keeping up to date with you all
Sonya - My fingers are crossed for you, sounds pretty good though!!!
Ellie - How you doing? Have you started the synarel yet?
Rols - How are you and DW going?

Well I am counting down the days till I start the lovely synarel on Friday. I was wondering does anyone know of any really good books on IVF. I remember someone recommending a book but I can't remember the name

Nat, here is a link to the thread started by Kelly in December last year
Book: Swimming Upstream - BellyBelly Forums ~ Pregnancy, Birth & Baby
Hope it's helpful for you. I still pick the book up and read bits of it here and there, especially when I'm having a bad day. I like to read it and reassure myself that I'm not weird for feeling the way I do sometimes

Hi Nat ... a few books that can recommend:
Getting Pregnant the Hard Way. It's written from a male perspective who has been diagnosed with poor sperm. It was a practical yet enternating read. Cant remember author name - but can check it out as have it at home.
Also IVF & Ever After. The first 1/4 of book is about how to prepare mind and body for IVF and the psychological effect on your mind. The rest is about the pregnancy. Havent read that bit as figured will wait till am PG.
There is also another one that want to go out and buy which saw on the Morning Show. I believe it is called Making Babies: IVF Stories. Saw it at Dymocks but was in a rush so didnt get a chance to buy it.
Some of the other gals have mentioned: Spirit BAbies. I havent found that one in any books shops though.

Rols, when I asked them if it was the sperm or egg, they said it was the egg quality. They fertilised but then fragmented and didnt divide properly. At least had one! As only takes one! But still was pretty gutted!
