Hi Ladies glad I found you all on the new thread
Not too many of us in here but as long as we keep each other going thats enough !
saffy so sorry youve been having a downer its those nasty hormones I think as that was me last week LOL but I do feel a lot better this week so hopefully you will next week !
Its so hard to put a final date on TTC but on the bright side I found myself in your shoes 20yrs ago struggling to have my 2nd with IUI and donor sperm, I told myself one more go and low and behold I did get a BFP ! and 3 yrs later thinking thats it for me as my DHs sperm was not very good I found myself with a natural BFP with my DHs not so good sperm !!!! so you never know even when you decided ivf is finished if you don't use contraception there are always miracles happening !!!
Clairesmummy sorry your fs apt was not as you hoped I had the same thing last year but I survived and I have not give up hope and neither should you thinking positive is the key !!!
Sunbeam have your sl**ty eggs accepted your new donor then ???? whoo hoo can't wait to find out ( for those who don't know thats what sunbeam called her own eggs many many cycles ago !!! )
Matthews mum are you still around not heard anything in ages how you doing ?
Loops sorry it was quiet at the weekend I am usually able to get on the pc but this weekend was too busy !!!
AFM well day 13 and DH has been keeping an eye on the days too so thats a bonus and busy DTD and praying for my chance at a BFP (got negative result on opk yesterday but with my body it doesn't always work well with opks )
oh well a few more days I will be in the TWW AGAIN I THINK !!!
Saffy- I'm glad you are feeling better with the idea of having an end date for TTC. I did this a while ago, before I got my new donor, and it did give me a sense of control over the whole things that has had so much control over my life for so long. I hope neither of us have to face life without a bub in the end.
Minniemouse - 10dpo is good because if it is positive it will be a great birthday pressie and if it is negative you can just tell yourself it is too early to know . I will be 11dpo on saturday. I know it is early but I am c@%p at waiting! My old housemate and her partner will be testing saturday too.
Crafty - That is so funny you mentioned my sl%$y eggs. I had forgotten about that until just the other day (when I was, quite stupidly, trying to do a positives and negatives list of whether it'd be likely that I'll be UTD!! TWW madness, I'm sure it's a diagnosable disorder by now!) I'm glad you are ready to join the TWW madness group and that DH is doing his part in keeping up with what cd you are up too, what a good boy
AFM - I don't trust any symptoms anymore after too many months feeling UTD and not being. The prog just plays tricks the whole time so there is not any point even guessing. All I can do is hope my sl^%y eggies liked their new friends. Realised today it is over a year now since I last fell pg. Total aside, I LOVE Big Bang Theory it puts a smile on my face every day.
Hi Lovely Ladies
I nearly missed the new thread - glad I found you guys
Ive been MIA for a few days because I actually have tonsillitis - it has been absolutely horrid, can't even swallow hot or solid foods
So I really dont think I'll be getting a BFP this month! I'm thinking I'm not gunna worry about it too much and wont test until after AF due.
Saff ~ what you said - I can totally get - I read it and thought, yep thats the way I am starting to feel. Which shocks me a little because ever since I was little I always knew I wanted lots of kids but I have two beautiful nieces that I love and adore and another niece or nephew on the way so I think I can be happy with them and just to have a stress free life from TTC would be good, with less financial strain. Obviously I have a few yrs ahead of me so it may be easy for me to say this now but I think its because we've already done so much and stressed so much and I don't think I could take too much more to be honest. In a way when we do stop (whether thats because we get a miracle or not), it will be such a huge weight off our shoulders.
Clairesmuumy ~ any time hon, we are all here to support one another and I wouldnt get by without you either. So pleased you were able to move forward and organise another FS, must be hard living in such a remote area - I think Gippsland is hard enough as always for you!!
GL with the O'ing ladies - hope you all catch the eggies!!
Hi there,
First time poster & knew as soon as I typed in the words "Long time TTC after miscarriage" & this popped up that it was perfect. My story: Got pregnant first month of trying Dec '09 (so obviously thought we were just amazing & super fertile). Unfortunately ended in an early miscarriage at 6weeks 3days. Had a D&C in Feb '10, started trying again in June '10, & since then nada. Oh, apart from increased weight gain, hormonal ups & downs, strains on our relationship & in the bedroom, etc.
Saw a wonderful FS who booked me in for a Lap, D&C & Dye test early June, so hoping that may do the trick but after so long you kind of give up. She has recommended we try for a couple of months before starting the IVF journey.
Sorry if this is so long but it's so nice to come across other people in the same boat (not that I would wish this on anyone but you get what I mean).
Have worked in child care for many years & just qualified as a Kinder teacher so absolutely adore kids & always planned for a family. Can't quite believe that it's not the easy & natural process it's always made out to be
Thanks for the ramble, & hope to gain some wonderful info & insight from you ladies...
Hi age78 welcome, hopefully we can be of some help, we've all been through the same. Your story actually nearly made me laugh ( not cos I'm a sadist) but because we were exactly the same- pregnant 1st month of trying and I was so smug- well that was 2 1/2 yrs ago so not so smug now am I!!! Sorry you are having to deal with this, it is so hard and I really hope the lap etc does the trick, sounds like your FS is on the ball anyway.xx
Minnie- oh no you are only halfway there, those bloody twws are a pain, I wouldn't test at 10dpo if I were you, it would unlikely be bfp even if you were utd, so hang out if you can xx
sunbeam- I forgot about your sl*tty eggs too!! Well, lets hope they are living up to their reputation, when is your BT?.I know you are testing Sat, not long now, stay sane if you can xx
loops- oh no, you are havign a run of bad luck, tonsilitis sux, I used to have it a lot when i was young, hope your throat is feeling better soon hun. And thanks for what you said, glad somone understands, even though none of us should have to be thinking like this, its so unfair xx
Crafty- yeah af came today so hopefully those depressing hormones will go away, I often feel better after AF comes, new hope etc. Thanks for your story. And I'm glad DH is on the ball, mine wouldn't have a clue lol
afm- yes well finally woke up with AF, so will ring the nurse and here we go again...

Sunbeam~ I have everything crossed for you praying this is your cycle darl, good luck. Baby dust to u and lots of sticky vibes.
Crafty~ good luck catching that egg darl, we are only 2 days apart in our cycle so here's to our 2WW together let us all bring some great positive vibes to this thread and we all go out with a BFP and take home bub, FX for you.
Minnie~ How you travelling in your 2WW darl, can't wait until you get to test, FX for you...
AFM~ Today is CD13 and OMG I can not believe what is happening to me, I did an OPT this morning and it's nearly POSITIVE at CD13, could this be a REAL cycle for me???? I have lots and lots of EWCM and we started DTD at CD10 and no doubt will again tonight. I just can't believe my cycle is behaving itself all on it's own. WooHoo for me.
